The hand paintings seen here at the Cueva de las Manos in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina were created between 13,000 and 9,300 years ago using bone-made pipes for spraying the paint on the wall. Most of the hands are left hands, which suggests that painters held the spraying pipe with their dexterous hand. The cave is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

omfg I did that as a joke 5 years ago!! We were hiking down there one day and found that cave. The next weekend we came back with some paintcans we bought at the home depot and after smoking a bunch of weed we sprayed our hands all over the cave wall. I cant fuckin believe they thought that was 9300 years old. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh Who do I call so they know the truth?

I've been thinking about what if I were born 10000 years ago and lived in the cages. Hunting and gathering for about 20 hours per week, spending time with loved ones the rest of the time. No worries about sales, health, and all other elements of stress that surround our modern life.

As for the picture, it might not as well be graphiti, perhaps it was more of a guestbook that people signed. And it's notable that they had the technology of spraypaint 10000 years ago.
