CONFIRMED: Apple Recalls 1.1 Million Sony Batteries
 

Apple has announced a recall of Sony batteries used in certain G4 notebooks.

Speak of the devil, Laptop Logic has just received the official press releases from Apple detailing a new battery recall.

this is the second battery recall for the powerbooks.

they need to recall the batteries for the MacBookPro, it gets insanely HOT! I have a Powerbook as well and thought that got too hot. Just got the MacBookPro a month ago and its alsmost impossible to touch certain parts of the laptop when its pluged in.

Update your firmware, that takes care of the heat issue. It's still hot, but not as much.

They have already recalled the 15" MacBook Pro batteries, I've got mine replaced.
