Is this banner so offensive it should be banned?
 

There?s a thread on another board started by a very well respected webmaster calling out the message board itself for allowing signature banners with ?disgusting and extreme content?.

Basically the guy feels he shouldn?t have to look at something he finds disgusting. Rather then stop posting on the board or put the people who have that sig on ignore he thinks the board mods should not allow the sig altogether.

Sig. banners are meant to catch the attention of other webmasters and I guess it?s doing it?s job a little too well. So what do you guys think, is this too much for webmasters to look at or is this guy being a stick in the mud?

Well it's not my cup of tea, but I think if it offends someone they should just put the ignore function on.... that's what it's for, no?

I think a site like Biohazardbitches has to advertise like that....

THAT banner is offensive? Tell the guy to stick his bible up his ass and leave this industry, if he can't cope. Calling out the board management for that is utterly stupid and I would've banned him for doing it.

I'm personally not a fan of extreme content either but that doesn't mean I think it should be banned from webmaster boards. "Censorship" is a very slippery slope. As the saying goes, "those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!"

Kenny, you've put together a great guerrilla marketing campaign, just keep doing what you're doing!

I find it hard to watch, but lots of the sig animations that aren't even advertisements are as bad or worse. (the hentai suicide springs to mind).

As for making a huge deal of it - I don't know if I would. Is the site offensive - I personally wouldn't get off on it, but to each his own.

Censorship is the thing which freaks me the most. People who want everything out of their sight, which doesnt comply to their standarts.
And in most cases it just means "protect me from what I want". The fear of liberating oneself is the biggest one, one can encounter.

This sig is definitely best eye-stopper I've ever seen on webmaster boards. I am sure it works fine for you Kenny! And nothing offensive. Just catching webmasters attention. It worked for me personally - I am signing up to try your program, and this banner was first step for me. I hope your sites work as good as this sig :)
