In the morning (and sometimes evenings) ya can watch jaguars wandering along that beach - sometimes with cubs. (They are harmless and avoid humans)

That is one of the most intense wildlife and eco-rich places on the planet - apparently more than the Amazon according to Nat Geo. The forest floor is home to puma, tapir and anteaters as well as other types of cats. There are a few snakes, but most are not dangerous - biggest I've seen was a boa about 10 ft long (had to pull him out from under the parked car before moving off).

The beach is actually in a large bay and water is warm and clean - you can see about 40ft down into the sea. It's full of sealife - dolphins, humpback whales and sea turtles blah. (Same place Jacque Cousteau used to do a lot of his underwater filming).

Got work to do down there soon - will try and grab some pics. We own a lump of this land (about 730 acres), tho owning it means nada - it's too rich for anyone to "own", - more a privilege to be able to look after it. The more we or anyone can buy with a view to preserving it, the better.
