Visit the guys at www.7soft.co.uk mate. Their eCREATOR is wicked. Java-based super flexible eCommerce solution. Look for Sam or Nige, tell them Andrei (that's me) from pixel-kitchen.com referred you. I'm not so sure about the dedicated servers though, but you might as well ask them. They may have something.

3 weeks to program that? Securely? Orly?

No way. If you have a team of programmers pushing out that fast, you're going to end up with swiss cheese that's not only insecure as all get out, but buggy as hell too. :2 cents:

Thats quick but not impossible. I've done projects that size in less time. Its just a matter if you can code for 8-10 hrs a day straight or not.

SplitInfinity 08-23-2006 11:27 AM

BoyAlley is right, there is NO way you can pull that one off in that short timeframe. Im a programmer, have been coding for over 15 years...
You should take a look here:

http://www.modernbill.com

Everything you need and secure and complete and inexpensive.

Send me the 150,000.00 difference to my paypal for the advice. :-)

No offense, but ModernBill has been around for quite a long time. That is their main business not a part time, or open source venture. Yet you want someone to code something better in a super short time frame...

Good luck at this project and let us know when you got it done so we can share it :thumbsup

Software like that are hard to put together we are working on one for the last couple year and still tweaking it weekly...

jay23 08-23-2006 06:42 PM

Well its not easy building some thing like this, Min 3 months to do a proper job, then you are looking at changes etc long term. I have built billing systems before (C&W, Portal Software, CompueServe)

If you are not going to own the IP (I can sell this to others) then I am intersted in this project, you will pay a lot less then what you have budgeted. I got 28 developers and good reputation in this biz for delivery.

By the way I am not providing out sourcing services, granted i got a team of developers in India, but you deal direct with me and my project managers in US.

From scratch it may be impossible. The guys at 7soft already have a platform ready. They basically tweak it around what the client wants and needs. I can't speak for them and announce that they can do it in 3 weeks, but they're a tight group, and they produce quality programming.

lgranata 08-24-2006 03:28 AM

Its impossible to do it right in 3weeks. even if you have more than one programmer, its just not possible :) Good luck Anywway!
