I did their minimum buy to get an idea what clicks are like. I realize I'll need to run a much larger test campaign to determine average sales figures, but I think with this number of impressions that the click-through rate is well determined.

Campaign Cost: $50 minimum buy
Total Impressions Purchased: 62,500
Total Impressions Delivered: 62,700
Total Click-throughs: 154
Cost-Per-Click: $0.325
Total Sales: 1
Conversion Ratio: 1:154
Sale Amount: $29.95 recurring (still active)

I think I'm going to drop a few hundred bucks at it tomorrow and we'll see what kind of sales results I get with a bigger traffic sample.

I would never pay for impression. IMO, this seems like a waste of money. Impression fraud is too easy.

i don't pretend to know how to market gay material at all...just saying it caught me off gaurd, it took a few seconds of looking to see it was the same person

i thought it was overpriced myself and buying impressions is not something i would care to do. i know the gts guys have plenty of high traffic sites where you can buy a week or month at a time for less than it would cost to buy impressions for a month on this site by half or more.

thats a pretty lame banner... if you had something attractive i bet you'd get more sales..

32c/click seems extremely high to me although like you said, this was a very small sample. I'm willing to bet over the long term this won't work in your favour though. You can get much better qualified traffic for that CPC rate.

I haven't worked xtube for a couple weeks, but part of your CPC problem might be that they are ALWAYS putting gay banners above the straight video section videos. I always think how great it is (for me) to have my watermarked straight videos playing under a gay banner.... more type-ins for me.

I agree it will take a larger scale for a proper diagnosis.
