The rainbow pin on your shirt should get you half-cover at most leather bars.

Without the italics your comment was bland.

If you like nature and have a chance just across the Golden Gate Bridge about 20 miles north of San Francisco is Muir Woods. http://www.nps.gov/muwo/

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 08-22-2006 03:19 PM

San Francisco is one of the top vacation destinations for a reason - it's a beautiful place with tons of stuff to do.

Check out the SF Weekly if you need ideas.

Siteseeing: The various Bay Cruises are fun (they go under the Golden Gate bridge, the Bay bridge and past Alcatraz - good photo ops and interesting histroy narrative)

If you are into art: The Museum of Moden Art is awesome (plus many other museums)

If you are into clubbing: Ruby Skye, 1015 Folsom (plus many others)

If you are into Italian food: North Beach (take your pick)

If you are into seafood: Fisherman's Wharf or Farallon (my favorite, near Union Square)

Strip Clubs, massage parlors, sex clubs, you name it - they don't call San Francisco "Baghdad by the Bay" for nothing...

Pretty hard to not have a good time here (as long as you avoid the seedier parts of town).

I assume you're referring to the parts where you could get anal raped? If so, that's really a matter of opinion.......

Brad, a few things to remember

* The Tenderloin area is NOT famous for it's steak houses.

* Only use the "bath" in your room ... trust me on this one.

* Chaps are NOT acceptable evening wear at most bars.

QuaWee 08-22-2006 03:30 PM

The Metreon.

When I was there in June for a week it was hard to find big packed bar or club to party in. Mostly just small irish bars and neat little bar I found called The Matrix. Ended up on Broadway theres a few strip clubs werent bad.

it's either San Francisco or The City, not San Fran or Frisco.

seriously.. :)

Sarah_Jayne 08-24-2006 03:17 AM

What *isn't* there to do there? Amazing city.

Theo 08-24-2006 03:34 AM

Turf 08-24-2006 04:03 AM

go see beach blanket babylon... great show.. very funny - in a gay kind of way though..

Makingcoin 08-24-2006 06:14 AM

Get me a souvenir ;-)

The Heron 08-24-2006 06:30 AM

Beach Blanket Babylon was probably the highlight of my most recent trip there. Otherwise just eat alot and check out the normal tourist spots.

Sarah_Jayne 08-24-2006 07:11 AM

I liked just going for a walk. That sounds odd but I took a bus to Haight-Ashbury and then walked from there to the Castro district. It was one heck of a walk with lots of hills, etc but I liked soaking up the feeling of the area. I am sure I could happily live there. I wouldn't really have known that from Fisherman's Wharf.

dynastoned 08-24-2006 07:33 AM

What isn't there to do in San Francisco? I recommend going to Haight-Ashbury and checking out all the shops and cool stores. If you want to see something crazy while your in that area go to the golden gate park right there and check out all the random people playing tunes together. Also be sure to head over to the pier for some food, if you make it that far without finding something already. But, definately go there anyway to check out Alcatraz from the pier and have a few beers. And I forget but there were some good spots to check out on Market street also. But i'd ask a local about that because I couldn't tell you which cross streets the shit is at.

Sarah_Jayne 08-24-2006 07:59 AM

If you are planning on doing Alcatraz book it a ahead of leaving. I never got to go out because you have to have the boat tickets pre-booked and there weren't any available for days.

Eservices2k3 08-24-2006 08:03 AM

Rent a car and drive north along the 1. Amazing views of the Pacific. If you don't mind driving for a while, make a stop at the red woods.

Important note: Bring a butt plug and watch out for boyalley in the woods.

Kidding boyalley. :winkwink:
