Question about expired GoDaddy domains
 

I want to get some feedback before I check with GoDaddy peons.

I have a domain that expired last week and I just renewed it. The whois already shows it updated.

My qestion is that I thought you had to pay $80 to get it out of redemption yet Godaddy (bluerazor) only charged me $7 as usual.

Is there a grace period after expiration before you have to cough up $80 to renew?
