Damn I have some little ones here but they are like the size of a football.

I am soooo glad it gets cold as hell here in the winter.

that would suck to have a hive the size of a car

Did you know that when the nest is not obstucted, it forms a perfect sphere and can start spinning until it flies thru the air like a meteor? Nature has is own method of transportation - WaspAir.

"A yellow jacket nest engulfs the inside of a 1955 Chevrolet on Harry Coker's Tallassee property on Thursday. Gigantic yellow jacket nests have been found in old barns, unoccupied houses, cars and underground cavities across the southern two-thirds of Alabama."

That's pretty cool - Tallassee is my hometown in Alabama and I actually know of that fella'.

So true! :1orglaugh My solution is a can of bengal wasp killer + a lighter. Wasp killer kills 75% of them on contact, fire does the rest.

FTVGirls_Rob 08-23-2006 02:20 PM

that photo reminds me of something out of Alien.

bastardsquad 08-23-2006 02:33 PM

You torch a nest that is 5 foot by 6 foot and you would be dead in 2 seconds.
