Somebody I've known and admired my whole life just died...
 

I've been lucky so far in my life. There was only 1 death in my family and all my friends are alive and safe.

Today one of my parent's friends just died... I spoke to him about 3 months ago and he seemed well. He had stomach cancer and when they found out it was too late, it only took him about a month to die.

He was one of the person I admired most and took as a role model when growing up.

It's weird how I just realised I was taking life for granted.

That sucks dude, sorry about your loss.

I know how you feel, it sort of puts a new spin on your life. I lost my mom 4 years ago, and both my brother and my father died within the past 8 months. It is tough being left behind.

Sorry to hear that. I lost my Dad to cancer about 6 years ago, so I know what you're going through.

My best friend has been hanging on a thread for twenty years, almost as long as I've known him. He has water on the brain, and is lucky to be alive. He's had fourteen operations on his brain; I've been there every time to hold his hand.

I'm close to his entire family; His father is ill and is ready to go and it's tearing us apart.

One way or another we're going to lose the ones we loved the most. So make the most out of it... don't let chance pass you by.

i have alreay experienced death of loved ones, too..

I've lost a lot of my role models. I think I'm going to lose some family soon.

sorry to hear that.. I don't wanna think of things like this.. people you admire and look up to should be immortal!

Although it is painful to go through, it can make you appreciate how precious life is all the more, and in doing so can make you a better, more conscious and conscientous, person.
