how do you have time to play poker in between your sig whoring? or how do you have time to work in between your poker playing? wait..I think it's all coming together now.......
|
So you lucked out? :)
|
Thats not sound poker at all, you shouldn't have even been in that hand. Raising all in on an inside straight draw, please tell me you were trying to bluff. Can't be a bluff either as you knew your opponent was pot committed and going to call and by his betting probably had a set or a straight also. Betting heavily in hopes of catching the gut shot straight on the river is the surest way to go broke.

You're right, my bad, I read it as an all in before the river. His opponent screwed up by checking all the way after he flopped a set, could have easily forced Madawg out of the pot. That's the danger of slow playing. |
Congrats on the money up man
|
you're lucky he wasn't in there with 3 4, straights are straights and you would have split the pot right? :1orglaugh

Congrats nice win!!!
He was a dumbass for raising you $150. Shoulda just called, if not folded. After you went all-in he got even dumber cuz it's obvious at this point that you're holding the dominant hand or bluffing. He must have thought you were. Way to take his money tho...he didn't want it:thumbsup |

That play explains why you're in the hole for total win/losses
You start the with a weak hand and then try to bluff it as a strong hand (not terribly smart but possible to get away with) - but then another player comes behind you and raises your raise.... and you call even though you were bluffing. True, you flopped a flush draw, but it's a weak one and your only saving grace is that ath25 was trying to set a trap (not once but twice) for the 2 knuckleheads who raised preflop and didn't bet his set. You wind up making a straight off a gut-shot 8 and win the hand. Ath25 should have bet the flop and turn - and had he, would most likely have won the hand - though given your previous play in the hand you might chase gut-shots... It's not a testament for you skills as a poker player as much as showing that Ath25 looks like he's missed a few episodes of the poker channel. |
So wait, u got a straight and has three of a kind?
|
agreed with Bama, you make a terrible call, you are seriously lucky as shit to catch that, i congrat you on winning the money, but if you play like that often you will find yourself in the hole more often then that,
all in on bad percentage draws when your player has a similar chip stack to you is a bad move. i would change your style of play after this because you got away with a lucky one. |
what site was that played on?
|
actually maddawgs i retract my statement the other guy with trips played that terrible,
i didnt notice it was checked down the the river my bad. he waited way to long to play on those, there was way to many draws out there to beat him. again nice pickup i didnt notice it was checked down until the river. |
This thread is a perfect example of why you can get rich at online poker. I am not talking about the OP btw.

There's no way you should have been in the pot w/ that hand, especially after being re-raised. Unless of course, you were by-far-and-away the biggest stack at the table, and just wanted to see the flop.
But the fact that you didn't fire at the pot to try and steal it once everyone else checked the flop and the turn, I assume you weren't the big stack....:error :error :error |
