Candid is down more than any other hosting company I've seen..It's amazing that the big guys use them...

no it's just whenever they go down ppl post it on a BBS because so many use them

i have been with them for 7 months and only experienced a few minor outages..

its unstable today very..

true,it's strange such a big company to be down so often, but again if you host so many sites there's higher % your downtime to be visible more than the rest hosting co.......

Downtime is a fact of life... I don't know a single host that didn't go down at least one hour a month.

My host has been down for an hour in the year that I have been using them..If i ever had more down time than that i would just switch companies...and they even announced that ahead of time

... well, nothing amazing here ... a lot of people host their stuff with candid. so it´s more likely that a crybaby will spot a 30 sec downtime ... that easy. and like lensman, none of our boxes down either ...

I know everybody else in the industry has a strong dislike for Verio, but I have never had any troubles w/ my server.

My bet is that if there was down time its thanks to Level3 and not candidhosting. Level3 has excellent bandwidth but they dont seem to fix anything until it is actually broken.

I guess nobody thought to run a tracert before complaining ?

I remember I was on a host before and yes level 3 did have a ton of problems, some creating upto a day of downtime, but they did improve over the past several months

I'm obviously BIASED because I own a hosting company.... I resent the fact that Candid brags about 0.00% downtime on their website since it's obviously not true. Even if they said 99.99% that would be more appropriate. Even if it were Level 3 with the outage, they're supposed to be completely redundant with providers.

Many big boys may host there but no network is infalliable!
