Selling some laptops, I worried about getting screwed by Paypal payment, help.

I have two Dell Inspiron 1100 laptops that I'm trying to sell and someone wants to buy one and pay via Paypal. I know there are a lot of scams going on right now so how do I make sure that if someone wants to pay via Paypal that I'm not going to get screwed?

I will say that I will NOT ship the item until the money is in my bank but can Paypal come back to me and say that I was victim of fraud and take the money back or something?

I've never worried about this and I've done alot of business in the past on Paypal but not much in the last couple of years so I'm not sure what the latest info is.

    Thanx, David.

The laptops are still under warranty and the service tags are: 4CMG441 and 39MG441. They are 15" Screen, P4 2.4ghz, 512mb ram, 20gig HD, Windows XP Pro. Both were bought with MS Office 2003 Basic but I only have one disk. I also have the original packing slip with the service tags on the slip.

Yes, they can tell Paypal it's fraud. Why not ask for a money order or cashiers check?

From what I've seen so far it sounds like a bank draft is the safest way since the bank can verify with the bank that wrote the draft that it is valid. It seems that most other methods are difficult for the bank to verify right away.

                        David.

PS: the less expensive laptop is now sold.
