Just bought an Xbox, seems pretty sweet so far. I thought GTA3 was out for xbox but was disappointed to find out that it's only for pc and ps2...wonder if it will be released for xbox. I have four games right now, nascar heat, halo, azurik, and James Bond 007. Looking to buy a new game, what do you folks recommend?

Also, is there anything cool I should know about it that it can do? Just found out you can record your own custom soundtracks which seems cool...Didn't buy the dvd kit yet. Anyways, just looking for some feedback on games and shit.

my 2 favortie games are SSX tricky and tony hawk 3. Both aree awesome.

Is PC games not enough for ya? Why even waste time on that shit?

I'm sure I could have invested in a kick ass video card instead of a xbox, but my 19" monitor doesn't really compare to my flatscreen...

Whatever though...Maybe it is a waste of cash, but I enjoy it so why not really?

However Grand Theft Auto - CHICAGO *a special version*
WILL be released for XBOX in the future.

Unfortunately I heard Sony snapped up the exclusive console rights to the entire GTA series until 2004.

So it's either PS2 or PC if you want to play it now.

Hunter: The Reckoning is pretty good. Morrowind is amazing if you have lots of time to kill and like Dungeons and Dragons type games.

sweet, I got Morrowind for pc, and it's amazing, I wish I would have got it for xbox first though, my video doesn't do well with the game! :(

Anybody else have the DVD kit for XBOX? I dont know if something is fucked up on my end or not, but its hard to hear the dialogue .. or perhaps Im just getting deafer by the moment. ;/

buy project gotham racing. you get to beat all kinds of fast cars and the harder you e brake slide or the more you fishtail the more points you get. just like driving in real life except without those annoying insurance premiums and anal retentive law enforcement officers. :winkwink:

seriously the DVD for XBOX rocks..its not as dark as the one for PS2 and it is progressive scan ready and HDTV compatible..blah blah blah...

If Morrowwind's out then get that - It was supposed to rawk! My favourite game right now is Desperados - a cowboy strategy game, I'm addicted. Thankfully I dont have the time to play it much else I would be on it all night.

Are there any other games like Halo available for the xbox? That game rocked because you and somebody else can play the boards together... wish you could do that in Bond.. that game rocks too

Yeah, that was the first game I bought, it's pretty amazing.....Just need some folks to play multiplayer games with. Can we play online yet with the xbox? Or aren't they making a Xbox "Live" netowkr or something to buy for a montly or yearly fee? Think it comes out in the fall if I read correctly....

After Halo my fav is NHL Hitz. This is a kickass hockey game. Thumbs down to Max Payne ..... BTW you want it? I'll never play it again lol.

You can play online for free right now. Go to gamespy.com and download the gamespy tunnel. Halo is kick ass online! Hit me up on icq if you wanna play online. You got to have a fast connection (cable or dsl), and a network hub. Be prepared to have your ass handed to you if you do get online. Some of the guys on there could single handedly take out afghanistan. I swear Halo online is where mercenaries practice.


Another kick ass game for the xbox if you like fucking shit up is Cel Damage. It is like being in an Itchy and Scratchy cartoon. All you do is pick up weapons and run around killing other cartoon characters. I have a hard time playing because I am laughing so hard. I love that game.

Damn, how could I forget about that game. The best fighter game out there, by far. Graphics are awesome. Have you unlocked any of the other characters yet? Whenever me and my gf have an argument, we settle it by a good kick ass game of DOA3.

x box is a cool system... but there isnt many games that are out for it...

ps2 is a better system because there is an abundance of games that are out standing..

try fifa world cup 2002 for your xbox

I believe Xbox mentioned that the games they released so far are nothing compared to what they have planned for...Personally I don't think Microsoft failed really at anything and will come on top of sony in the end.......Maybe an Xbox2 in the future will be the deciding system....

Xbox mod chips are hard to install aren't they? Which one's would you guys reccomend??

Morrowind is worse than heroin...and believe me don't do heroin and then play morrowind...I still itch...

some of us aren't happy with 20inch flat panels for games so we move to our living room or spim our chairs around in the office to the 62 inch he he he or at least thats what we do it's called break time for that CPU and processor
