Mansion Productions Unveils Turnkey Shopping Cart Solution

AVN Online.com

By: Todd Lewis

LOS ANGELES -

Mansion Productions, creator of the MPA3 software, has unveiled VIST, a turnkey shopping cart solution.

A content management and back-end system, VIST is an acronym for VIdeo STore and provides a suite of integrated services, offering a unified, out-of-the-box approach for video-store owners that is completely customizable.

?Mansion succeeds because we stay attuned to our clients? needs,? says Mansion Productions Chief Executive Officer Oystein Wright. ?Online video stores represent a burgeoning market segment in adult Internet. It is only natural that we would desire to create a software product that champions this business model.?

VIST is a video library automation system consisting of three balanced modules that work in concert to create fluid workflow, a robust and nimble system of organization, and aid in the rapid development of sales and marketing opportunities.

Clients can assign descriptions, box-cover images, galleries, and more to each title. Movies can be book-ended with video teasers, trailers, and tie-ins that push new products. Site appearances can be customized and multiple sites can be syndicated.

?For the consumer, what results is an enjoyable, streamlined shopping experience. The search for a title or titles is fast, friendly, and targeted,? Wright says.

The VIST shopping cart module offers clients an electronic storefront tailored exclusively for the online video-store market. Everything is customizable, with media storage options for DVD, CD, VHS, and instant download formats.

Features of the shopping cart include customizable shipping calculations and tax rates, automated email responders, targeted mass-mail options, instant checkout?with or without user registration?and more.

Rounding out VIST?s three-pronged attack is a module that provides seamless integration with MPA3 and adds new webmaster tools to complement site management and promotion. Working in tandem, the pair of software products can display links for promotion of VIST sites and site categories. Affiliates also have the ability to direct-link to specific titles. Sales can be tracked and commissions can be paid at customizable rates, and users can view customizable stats drawn from real-time reporting.

?As you can see, we tried to be as thorough as possible. For the video-store operator and entrepreneur, VIST will increase productivity and revenue on the one hand, while removing the pitfalls from online video-store management on the other,? Wright says.

Phoenix - Thank you so much, a product is worth NOTHING if support is not there, so that is a core focus at Mansion. :)

Adam - Currently we have one option which is buy outright at a license fee of $15,000 which includes installation, free support and upgrades. :2 cents:

You can check it out LIVE here: RAGINGSTALLION and see it in action.

It is priced at $15,000 and is a combination of Ccontent Management System (CMS) and site setup, advanced Shoppingcart, 2257 module, and direct plug-in with MPA3 for affiliate tracking.

Soul_Rebel - It will be like an online mall :winkwink:

ladida - Good luck if you run a medium to large storefront with thousands of titles in your catalog.

Manowar - Thanks!

AVNChris - Looking forward to the dinner! Thank you so much for inviting! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Here's my question.

Why would I buy this for 15k when I get get a copy of Subversion for free? OScommerce, zencart, cube cart etc?

aico 08-21-2006 04:30 PM

Hmmm, I says to myself, hmmmmm :thumbsup

wtfent 08-21-2006 04:35 PM

Seems a little pricey but maybe Im missing something, Im pretty sure I am. Can you take a look at my shopping cart that I use through Nats right now and tell me why someone like me should spend $15,000 instead of $3,000-$4,000 like I spent with my current Nats set up, shopping cart and all?

The only thing I saw that really caught my eye that I cant do with Nats is set up a custom commission for each DVD but that alone does not seem worth spending an extra $10,000 on, other than that I love my set up.

So to get to my point what do you guys offer that my current set up does not offer that makes it worth spending $10,000 more. If Im missing some key Feaures please inform me. I am always looking for the BEST shopping cart solution out there.

wtfent,

You are missing the options for comprehensive movie descriptions VIST provides. It is not only a shopping cart with a bunch of standalone products, but it shows all actors featured in a movie, linked to a page dedicated to that actor with bio, actor's photo gallery, and links to all the other movies he/she may be seen in. Same goes to directors and studios/producers. Plus all the pages are highly customizable through various templates, everything is thumbnailed in multiple sizes, descriptions/synopsis may be enriched with inline images, screenshots etc.
This was all meant to provide the tools for sophisticated marketing approach some people wish to have.

Now if anyone are looking for just standard shopping cart features we already have that as one of the features of MPA3 and you dont even have to pay anything extra to get it. In MPA3 its a standard feature.

SiMpLe 08-21-2006 05:20 PM

YAY! I get to buy more stuff from the Mansion guys :1orglaugh
I've needed this for about 6 years lol - Looking it over for the 3rd time and I swear I can't think of anything you guys didn't cover in this solution - It's a beautiful backend :thumbsup

nAtuRaLbEautY 08-21-2006 06:00 PM

You got it!

And it is funny you say that, because we had requests from clients too that specifically were in the PRODUCTION part of our industry selling DVDs, toys, etc. and there was a HUGE void there for this type of product. This is NOT a typical shopping cart, that would be too simple. This is a COMPLETE product that covers all aspects of running an online storefront, CMS to build the store, 2257 to ensure that you are on the right side of the law, and plugin to ensure that you now can fully track all your affiliates traffic using MPA3. ON STEROIDS! :thumbsup

I think its great to see a solid product for this purpose. Either way the bar gets raised another notch. Wonder what will happen next :)

Bar is raised indeed - what will happen next is that a LOT of companies can now take their offline business online :winkwink:

It's a kick-ass system for us being a producer and program operator as well as our affiliates. We've had some webmasters really cashing in with 40% on DVD sales in http://www.ragingstallion.com . Being able to bundle the payments from DVD sales and paysites under the one program works for everyone.

Yes but we use Nats for our affiliate program along with it so thats why I said $3,000-$4,000. I needed a solution that worked with it so thats what they suggest I use.

It is an untapped market for all I am concerned and you are reaping the benefits from it right now. So huge props to you for being our guinea-pig on this project! It worked out super and we would not have made such an awesome product if it wasnt for you and your teams great feedback throughout the time it took to develop!

Go sign up for http://www.gunzblazing.com if you have gay traffic and sell both PAYSITES and DVDS within the same affiliate program peeps!

:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

wtfent, Please don't feel you have to stop posting here! We want to compare programs. We want to be the best of the best, and we cant do that with out other peoples help. By comparing products against each other you make sure you have the best solution. And for us we will know if we have something unique or if its just "another program".

We have never said no to competition or to compare one program up against another. We do this every day our self and that's why our customers get new features to play with all the time.

So wtfent, no harm done and please feel free to compare or ask questions in here.

And by the way, The more you ask about the VIST program the better advertisement it will be for us :thumbsup
