Firefox passwords

I was told that if I copied the signons.txt file to the new pc, passwords would transfer over. Obviously, that didn't work, or there is more to it.

Anyone dealt with this, and if so, how? I really have too many to try and fingerbone them all in.

I did a long time ago and I believe you have to copy the key3.db file over also as it is the file that encrypts the passwords.
