Q: Who has been the most critical of the Gov't? Well maybe not the most critical, but the most critical with the ability to speak out to the masses about it?

A: Hollywood

What does the Gov't do? Smacks them in the face telling them that they now have to pay taxes on their free swag bags.

This year's Emmy swag bags estimated at being worth $2 million. Taxes on that = about $800,000

Oh, I think they should totally pay. But this has been going on for years and years and years... Recently Hollywood has been very outspoken about Politics, it had to have played some role in this new found taxing. I think it's pretty funny myself.

What I don't get is how some how the tax on the value of gifts you receive has anything to do with who is in office now. That's been around for quite some time, long before Bush. Just no one really pays attention to it except when you're talking about the lottery.

If someone gives you a car, legally you are responsible for paying taxes on the value of that car. They just finally called the actors/actresses out on it.
