If you go to a specialised clinic you wait in line... they put a q-tip in your dick (It dosen't feel too good but it dosen't hurt like you think it would).

Planned Parenthood offers STD testing for women and men, if you're looking for a place. Actually come to think of it you might want to check with your local Planned Parenthood to make sure - I know out here and in IL they offered testing to guys too.

Go to your regular doc. They'll send you to the lab to pee in a cup and you'll get your blood drawn. Make sure to get the "full panel". That means everything including herpes, etc. There should be about 7 or 8. Also, have your doc look your junk over for any kind of STDs that you can't get tested for unless they are physically present. If you have insurance you'll probably end up paying about $200 out of pocket.

STDs are fun... everyone should have one or two.

The Q-tip is out dated and unneeded. The piss test is actually more acurate nowadays. It just depends on where your doctor sends the samples and if the lab can do the test.
Personally I believe it is just a way for nurses to tell you, "hey you gonna fuck around, this is what you get." The last clinic that told me they had to do a swab saw me walking right out the door and across the street to the next one.

anyone ever had this thing done they call the 'umbrella'? where they put something like a q tip in there but then open it up and pull it up scraping the inside of your dickhole? i think its for chlamydia. when the doc told me about that, it made me pretty scared but i was clean.

you need to wait 3 months after the action to confirm if you are infected, shouldn't take more than a week to get your results.

I didn't realize they could test for chlamydia, etc. with a piss test until last month when Tucker and I did the AIM testing for a movie, so yeah -- you don't have to go through that insertion method of testing . . . unless you really want to. Piss and blood is all they need, and the cool thing about AIM testing is you get your results FAST.

A lot of doctors have different philosophies on testing for herpes, HPV, etc. -- my docs have never suggested that, and have often discouraged me from getting other tests too when I was married/monogomous which seems silly; if someone wants a test, give it to them. So be prepared if it's a general practitioner or something for them to ask you why you want this test or that test or to even dissuade you from certain tests. The herpes and HPV tests, for example, are really expensive and kind of stupid.

I started with insertion, then they found herpes and i had to give blood then. When they found it in the blood they said it is o'k as far as it is impossible to cure herpes when it is in blood.

Why the hell are people saying they stick a needle in your dick or qtip, that is not true.... The only time they would even do that, is if you are showing all the symptoms of an std or a urinary tract infection (in extreme cases) almost ALL std's can be tested via blood, even hsv1 and 2. (herpes and coldsores)

if you are going in for a checkup with no symptoms at all, they are going to prick your finger and give you the results in 20 minutes.

I have herpes1. Judging by the article. It is impossible to cure and it may lead to cancer. I am shocked.

Bullshit. Last time I went, with no symptoms whatsoever, I got the Q-tip, and I didn't get my results (all negative) until a week later.
