So Dreamhost has no problem hosting Content Thieves? HMMMM!
I've contacted Dreamhost multiple times this week regarding a site they are hosting. Their reply "This has been forwarded to our abuse department". I'm done waiting for their abuse dept. If I were a host and I was notified of a client that is very obviously ripping off content from MANY sources I'd be all over this. Dreamhost chooses to do nothing. NICE going Dreamhost! You've been warned. You are an American hosting company that is KNOWINGLY hosting a client that is stealing content. You won't be able to claim you knew nothing of this. You have my emails and now you have this post.
As for the site in question? It is http://girlsarenice.com/ Girlsarenice has stolen content from Twistys, Ftv Girls, Raven Riley, Medium Pimpin, Matrix Content, Kates Playground, Superglam and many many more. If there is anybody else being ripped off by these guys that wants to join us against them drop me an email. |
LMAO. For $10 a month I thought they could be smart enough too close the account and move on.

Well "top notch" companies have no problem supporting the same type of people so...it sadly does seem to make sense

Content cases are always hard for hosting companies. I recently had somone hot linking content from one site to another. The problem really got sticky because both of the the sites were hosted by my company with two different clients.
We offer hotlink protection services, but the customer need to activate it on their domain. We for protection via TOS or AUP, most companies state that if your site content is legal, then you can use it. And copyright need to be proven. Generally as a rule, we ask the offending customer to remove the image, or copy from their site, but they don't have too. And we as the hosting company do not need to "down" the site unless we get a court order. If we choose to we can. Again content issues are never say to deal with, and generally should be handled by the law. Dreamhost may have been in the wrong, but they were with in their rights as a hosting provider to do with the client as they wised till a court order was issues. |
Dreamhost is run by a bunch of jackasses.

Time to DMCA their ass. That'll get their attention (or shut em down).

Shap, send a C&D to their upstream provider. That will get their attention, if anything by noticing they no longer have a business, when their provider pulls the plug on them.
|
DX I was just about to message him on that, will tell him in the morning meeting :)
|
all works fine here?
