Is there a way to determine if Google has

sand-boxed you? Or is the fact that you lost placement on all your keywords enough to go on?

Is there anyway of figuring out why? Have some guesses. If I hire a consultant, they'll have some guesses too. Maybe theirs will be more informed, but still not absolute.

Here is one indication: go to Google and type in allinanchor:"keyword"
"keyword" = something you should rank for.

If you have to go through and search page by page looking for your URL and do find it then you are not in the sandbox. But if you get tired of looking and your fingers start to hurt and you quit before you find it then you are in the sandbox. :Oh crap

So how do you get out of the sandbox once you're in it?
