Police Chief Faces Child Porn Charges
 

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The police chief of a Rowan County town is facing felony child pornography charges.

Federal and state authorities said Charles Childers used the Internet to distribute the kiddie porn, and tried to initiate sexual activity with an undercover investigator in Michigan who he believed was an underage female.


Childers is police chief in Landis and lives in China Grove. He's in federal custody until a detention hearing next week. If he's is convicted, Childers could be sentenced to as much as 30 years in prison, and remain under court supervision for the rest of his life.

i'd rather see him go to jail and face the music. Imagine how badly cops are hated already in jail, and then multiply it by how much child molesters are hated.....the guy is in for years of brutal pain and torture, just what he deserves.

sadly he will be put in a protected area.
