my dog caught a rabit today

so there we were walking along today, and this rabbit runs across the path. I say to my dog, go go go kill kill kill and he chases it like mad and because they entered a field which is parly fenced off the rabbit was trapped.

after a couple of minuites my dog caught it and put it in his mouth. He was quite far away by this point. and I thought oh no, hes only injured it and im going to have to put the poor rabbit out of its misery with a sharp stick to the head.

But he keep trotting back to me reached me, dropped the rabbit out of his mouth, and the rabbit just ran off unharmed!!!!!!!!!!!! He did not even dig his teeth in, simply delivered the rabbit as a present for me! :pimp

Even though he's a poodle and instinct is to fetch the dead prey back to the master, this behaviour was quite amazing!

Dog's instincts are great and they, for the most part, are great companions to human beings unlike those mother fucking traitorous felines.
