Q and fucking A too quiet. (500gigs)
 

I posted this in q & a but to quiet in there.

"Howdy, In the past month my galleries really started kicking ass and getting accepted EVERYWHERE (thanks to DrinkingHard's advice). Im steady at 200k a day. My question is, what would be my best bet, stay shared or by dedicated. Dedicated sounds great but I dont know the first thing about setting one up.
Any suggestions would be great!!!

p.s What shoud be the ratio? At 200k a day (beauty and some teen) Im getting 2-4 sign-ups daily. Is this the norm?

How many clicks do you get from your galleries?
Hard to say but 1 sales per 50,000 gallery visitors doesn't sound good.... 25,000 or lower is more acceptable.

My galleries: Its my click through's that suck a little. My sign-up ratios are great, I get about 1:250. But then again my click throughs always sucked, Im still getting that sorted out.

its good that DrinkingHards methods are starting to work for you. He knows how to suck up to the Elite. Now youve got to figure out how to make that traffic convert better. Let me give you a tip...double your submits on Thursday to Sat, cut them down on Tues and Wed.

Shemp, thx for posting my galleries lately :).

Most of the TGP's I submit to accept only 1 gallery per day, as you do.

Also if I would do 2 a day on those days, them I would really have a server issue.

I think if I stick to a niche Id get more ckick throughs. For now Im submitting babe galleries(sux), triing to finsh off my pics.

Pipecrew, it is worth the bandwith bill so far. Im getting hosted at .50$ per gig, therefore I still come out on top.

If he does 600gigs a month he should pay no more then $500
Can get it at $300
Lets say he does 100signups a month
Should do $1500 to $4000 I would say.

Thats just about right :). However from the looks of it and all your posts i should be doin lots more tham 2-3 sign-ups a day.

My galleries are posted above. Next month I'll try teen, see how that works out.

As of now, today so far im at 315,000 uniques (thx to mister "the Hun"...I love you man!! ) :) and only 4 sales.

Must find cheaper hosting, lol

I only post my gallery on my own TGP and some paid spots. They do 1:1000 or less mostly. Can't imagine 1:50,000 .


There's no point moving to dedicated for galleries, if you dont need it for any reason. The reason to move to dedicated is if the shared goes down too many times, your script overload the server and your host kicks you off shared, or if the dedicated turns out cheaper. For gallery postings stick to the cheapest.

But earlier when I was posting 8 galleries a day, I dont know what the traffic was like since I didnt have counters on the galleries, but the bandwidth usage was over 10Mbps - I was making 10-15 sales a day. Got too boring for me, even though those 8 galleries used to take me just 1-2 hours with my custom made script. I made enough money though, and decided let's move on. If anything gets too boring I move on, that's the fun being self-employed.

Hypo, You said you do 1:1000, is that 1:1000 at the sponsor of are you you make 1 sale every time your gallery is viewed 1000 times. Because at my sponsor Im doin about 1:250. Its my galleries that seem to have a bad click through. If I could only get more surfers to my sponsor...:)

This industry has so few major stat reports out there...

With that and all the lying about conversion ratios and such, it's amazing anyone can ever figure out what's going on.

That's one at least 1 sale per 1000 gallery views. But then my galleries are very aggresive on marketing, and would probably not be listed by most TGPs unless I pay.

Care to post a sample? Can't hurt if it won't get listed by most TGPs.... :winkwink: :thumbsup

I can tell you one thing though, I use 10 thumbs or less.

Not many TGP's that accept 10 or less. There is TGP2, but thats just not getting enough traffic yet.
