I spoke with a guy at a live tourny that claims he had bots in 3 major poker sites. He "claims" that it loads 6-8 tables at a time, and just plays the % of the win hand vs. your stack or bank. This was about a 6 months ago...Now, as you can tell while you are playing, you get some crazy ass flops and/or rivers. IMHO- this is the poker rooms way to combat the bots. I cant even count the amount of times i lost a sick hand to a bullshit river. actually, 3 months ago I lost got knocked out of a MAJOR tourny in 8th place with 4 kings to 4 aces...The aces came 4th and 5th...this cost me about 30K After that, I dont play big games..I dont have the balls to test it out. If you are playing 1-2, you wont make shit. Hope that somewhat answers your question.
