I consider myself fairly intelligent. One reason for that I believe is that I'm able to sit and listen to, or read a conversation without having to express my opinions like a know it all. It's amazing how much you can learn just by listening to others, and even moreso how few people can actually do it. Inevitably people seem compelled to express their thoughts whether they know what they're talking about or not. I don't. If I don't know anything about the subject at hand, I'll just listen and learn.

well over the years you've called me a lot of things! Smart and stupid was not one of them. I come off clueless sometimes. At least half the time it is prolly true. Was smart enough to pick up a couple of degrees in engineering.

I impressed myself to pass the math and physics courses required to get the degrees. Of course passing the test and really understanding the material is two different things.

Whether I'm smart or not is really in the perception of others. I know what my strong and weak points are. so it is a mixed bag for me.

Enough of this mindless drool. BTW, everyone knows spelling and grammar are not my strong points.

ahmmmm, just occurred to me. You said smart and I thought of education etc. What about business smart? I talked about the beginning, that being the education and perception and not the result that I built two businesses that made some $.... Still working on adult web success.

I think that makes us neighbours :)

i would say i'm more "clever" (interpreted: the bridge between stupid and smart) i find appearing "smart" a "negative" in our society with all the job insecurites so posing "stupid" let's me pass through unnoticed.

LOL my dad thaught i was not so smart when i got kicked out of private school in highschool so he had me take an IQ test. My results was pretty higher then his lolol.

But I think I am like you a fool with a good IQ ;-)

I consider myself intelligent, knowledgeble and sometimes a smart-ass, but I wouldn't necessarily say smart. Way too often I get suckered by people who play my empathic side against me. I guess I should blame my parents for teaching me to always believe that people are predominantly good. Although that's a whole different discussion. And I got a lot to learn. :)
