How do these hosts compare to each other?
 

I'm trying to decide between XXXWebHosting, DreamHost, and Tear2Hosting for a new softcore solo-girl fetish site and I'm looking for opinions. We are trying to keep this as cheap as possible since this is a first for both of us and we don't know how it's going to do, we can always upgrade.

The site will have Wordpress, AdultWebWare, and Strongboxxx loaded and will be starting with around 20 sets and 1,000 pics. She is going to try and have some videos also.

What would you recommend for a newbie?

I guess I should have stated that this will start out as a Virtual Host until we figure out if it will do any good.

You picked those three because they are the cheapest?

I first checked into an adult site back in 2003 but the model backed out when her boyfriend and her got in a fight. Since then I've been busy with my consulting business and occasionally read the board but that was about it. Look at my number of posts, 80% of them have been from the last month.

As for the three that I am choosing from:

I had good dealings with XXXWebHosting in 2003 but nothing since. Although they are a little more expensive I like what they offer but I'm not sure Delany (the model) will want the video feeds, etc.

I've read good things about Tear2Hosting for the price and haven't read that many complaints but I have concerns about their Control Panel from what I've seen on their site.

I've read good stuff about DreamHost except for a couple of comments about them being slow with dynamic content. I'm not sure how this would apply to me which is why I listed the apps that I will be using since I'm primarily concerned about how they will work with AdultWebWare.

But since this is such a new site, the content is soft-core fetish, and Delany doesn't want to do massive amounts of advertising, I'm not sure it will really make a difference which one we pick.

So I'm asking for opinions!:thumbsup

Hmmm, if I got you right it will be a paysite? if so, sharde hosting isn´t a good choice. And if you are looking for affiliates, I don´t believe you´ll get those you need with a paysite located on a shared hosting account.

There are many affordable offers to get a dedicated box. If you take it as a serious business, you should think about getting one of them. Webair has a special offer and I´m sure phatservers and other hosting companies will offer you affordable dedicated boxes, too.:2 cents:
