I think a little group might be heading over there :thumbsup |
Temple de la Sagrada Familia is an amazing site. Absolutely incredible stone work and detail. They started constructing it in 1882 and they're not even close to being done, Gaudi was a genius. If you're into architecture or geology you'll love this place.
Las Ramblas is a happening spot too. Always something going on and tons to do in this area. Watch out for the pick pockets and scam artists though. This area is infamous for crime, I witnessed it first hand. I had two friends get jacked in the same night. Nothing worse then getting your wallet stolen in a foreign country. If you have a chance to make it over to San Sebastian it's well worth it. Incredible beaches, people, night life, and just an all around great experience. One of my most favorite spots in Europe! Be safe and have fun!!! |
don't forget to take some pics :)

It's been six years since I was there, but the pipe club is an interesting place to take your girl, it was an underground jazz and pipe club during francos regime. It's kind of hard to fine, but look around online for the Barcelona Pipa Club and something should come up...
As mentionened above, just walking La Ramblas is an interesting experience... If you are into history, check out the chapel of St Maria Del Pi (I think thats what it was called) Very interesting old church, knights from the crusades are buried there, along with some saints, virgins that went into seclusion there... the whole neihbothood its in is pretty neat. There used to be a pretty good Basque resturaunt at Passige De Gracia and Placa de Catalunya... I cant remember the name of it though, or even how to spell the street names... God I miss that city... Someone mentioned Sagrada Familia above, I'll second that, along with all the other archictecture designed by Gaudi, theres a some buildings in the city, and a great park on the I think its called Parc Guell or something like that... you should check that out to, its pretty interesting. |

If you were a single man, I would tell you about some uber sleazy sex spots there. I banged this African chic in a sweaty bed, in the 7th floor of some shit hole apartment that was rented out by a 50+ year old fat transvestite. We had to wait in line for about 45 minutes to get our turn. Really nasty shit. I think I caught lice from that one, but ya never can be sure where you pick those little fuckers up at do ya?
On a serious note... The Dalhahaha237; Museum is worthy and the old gothic area is very cool. Check out all the Gaudhahaha237; spots and don't forget to peep the Picasso Museum. What a great city. Enjoy your trip. |
So the Dali museum is a couple of hours away?
