I am having a similar floating issue with Wordpress & pics in posts pushing the side bar under the content (only in IE). I was at B&N yesterday and there are so many little technical issues with exact pixels... etc etc.... UGH.

send me an icq and if it isn't an urgent matter i can actually dive into your stylesheet sometime tomorrow to make it work, but here are my two cents...

you should create a container div sized to auto to hold the whole page, then execute your three column layout by floating as follows:

div #1 (nav links) float: left
div #2 (advertising) float: right
div #3 (main content area) no float attribute

that should work fine but unfortunately i don't have time to mess with the css for you. getting css layouts to work in ie is always a pain but css is much better than a shitload of tables
