the first CCBill program you signup with becomes your 'main account number' with CCBill. From that point, when signing up to additional programs, you will enter that main account number. The new program, by default, wants to merge under that main acct. You will now have a specific acct number for each program you signup with, but only one main acct number.

The main acct number is what you type in at the affiliateadmin stats page.

clear?

tranza 08-14-2006 02:28 PM

Yeah, it is kind of confusing indeed....

dakota1358 08-14-2006 02:34 PM

Each program gives you a different affiliate ID thats what you use

If you enter your merged one that is at the bottom of that page it won't work right. your affiliate ID is the one you need to use. Why not just give CCBILL a call so you can know for sure.

polish_aristocrat 08-14-2006 02:35 PM

when I first signed up to a CCbill program i got quite confuse indeed

anyway, now i don't promote any ccbill programs at all, so i dont have to worry about it

oh wait. so now you can use both?!

polish_aristocrat 08-14-2006 02:40 PM

actually.... every serious webmaster can learn that quite fast, bu IMO they still should make it a little more clear

remember dollars.com - they had a great idea (?) as many people said, but they failed because noone could be bothered to take some time to understand how they work

every linking code and new affiliate account set-up should be always as easy as possible - just a general rule

scottybuzz 08-14-2006 02:54 PM

bump my question has been answered so i can use both the main account number( the merged one ) and the one I get when I sign up

Every time you sign up to a webmaster program you get a new and unique id, to be used in your link for that program. I.e.

http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic...00&PA=12345678

When you get that id, you have to give us your payment details (name, mailing address, email, etc). The information where we would send the payment for the traffic you sent.

Now, rather than affiliates who have multiple ids/accounts, get many different checks and have to check their stats through multiple logins, we offer a feature where you merge/link accounts to one main account. That way, you can check stats for multiple programs at one location, by entering the id that you have your other accounts linked to (your main account) + the payments get transferred to your main account/id in order for you to only get one payment/check.

You use your Affiliate ID for the program you are making the limks for..
and the merged under ID to check stats for all your CCbill programs.

Example :

Join sponsor 1.. you use the affiliate ID for Reff Codes + For login to stats

Join sponsor 2.. You use the new affiliate ID for this program, in this programs reff codes.
and If you merged accounts, you use ID from sponsor 1 to log in to stats for both sponsors.

hope that helped :o)

scottybuzz 08-14-2006 02:58 PM

fedfast thanks for answering my question

corvette I understand the features you offer, but it would help if you said what fedfast has just told me in simple clear terms. sorry to be rude.
you told me all that in a rounabout way and for my simple mind it is alot to take in

Not for the reff codes.. Main account number is only for checking stats (and getting a merged check).

For reff codes you need the ID for that sponsor.

V_RocKs 08-14-2006 02:59 PM

Each programs number is what you use for each programs FHG's and links...
The one first merged under number is only used for the orginal accounts links and to login to CCBILL...

So once again... You account number for DreamTeens must be used in their links and won't work for Nubiles.net... Nubiles.net sent you a number to use for them, so use it on nubiles links... FTVcash sent you an account number, it would be used for their girls and FTVgirls.com only... Not for Nubiles...

I am sure that explained it enough for you.... If it didn't... Find a new line of work because this is like 01... that is 101 without the 1....

NP, nice that i could be of help :)

Maybe they could add something like "Your Affiliate ID is your unique ID to use in all Reff codes for this program"
I'm sure that would help out a lot of new CCbill site affiliates as there seem to be general confusion on this.

nico-t 08-14-2006 03:15 PM

it was indeed pretty confusing once i joined a second ccbill program but once u get the hang of it it's pretty clear. Plus i like ccbill!

Why not login to the merged account, to to tools and click on the "Get Banners" link for the program that you need a linkcode for?

It's got the URL right there.
