Interested in SMS/phone billing? Don?t even think about txtNation/mENABLE.
I?m in the online businesses for many years, but never had such a bad experience! Now I can allow myself to tell that txtNation/mENABLE is the worse nightmare you can imagine. This company ripped me off for 370 GBP (about 650$) for signup and first month of maintenance, wasted my time for 2 months, ruined my reputation among customers and high phone bill is something I am expecting as well. Because of that, I decided to spend time writing and explain everything in details, so you all could learn from my experience.
Their sales guy bugged me everyday to pay the signup fee. I thought their service must be of the first class, since they are charging a lot, while other SMS/phone companies are opening accounts for free. At least I expected the best possible customer support. Gee, what a jackass I am! Anyway, I transferred the money. It laid on their side, but nobody contacted me. I waited for a week and finally asked them when my account will be active. They apologized and opened my account. It was a first sign of the disaster. I logged into Client Administration (Control Panel), but the system they have was quite different from anything I saw before. I kindly asked them for assistance, but they ignored me. Tried emailing everyone there, but no response. Found ICQ number of customer support inside the Client Administration, but they never got online and never authorized me. Filled the online form and sent, never got any reply. It was time to call them by phone. Finally got in touch with a tech guy, had a nice conversation, but the new problem appeared: he?s not using ICQ. I asked: ?How do you plan doing business online and communicate with webmasters without ICQ??, but got no answer. I expected they will be kind enough to install ICQ or use the web version, so we could go through all the issues and simultaneously chat. That?s how I used to solve the problems. No, they ignored me again. But thanks God, their tech guy is using Skype, he told me that over the phone. I installed the software and suggested meeting on Skype. That was arranged, but I still had to wait a couple of days for him to hop online. But when it happened finally, I lost him after a few minutes. From that moment he appeared offline. I started to learn: changed the nick, then made another phone call, then back to Skype? Finally, I catch the techie, explained the issues and he promised me everything will be in order. You?re guessing? Nothing happened and from that moment he?s offline again. For the last time I sent emails to every address I had, filled forms on the site and Client Admin, but there were no replies. It was really rude and insulting, although I was kind to them like I am the customer support and they are my client. Now let me tell you about a couple of technical problems I experienced in this short period of time (thank God I gave up on their services). First of all, they based their system on GBP as a currency, which may be ok for any other purpose except for the online business. Simply everything has to be calculated in USD, since it is the absolute standard on Web. That fact is not causing bigger problems, but honestly, I don?t see any reason for complicating the whole thing. Second, they don?t have any kind of User Management. There is a form named Password Management, but it never started to work. The tech guy promised it will work, but it was a lie, just like everything they said. Third, the rates in reality are not the ones I got prior to signup. I complained, they said it will be corrected, but you already know what happened ? nothing. It?s really strange situation when you don?t know how much you are actually charged and no one is responding to your questions. As an example, if there was a purchase of $30 made with Eurodebit or PayPal, they charge me about $19, thus my share is only $11. That?s the situation in credit card department, also for bank debit/transfer. But what about SMS/phone? I never found out the math for SMS purchases and pay-per-minute billing. Simply there was no one to explain me the calculations they are applying. I just have the numbers to present you. Purchases were made in total value of $70.3 and my revenue was $15.13. For anyone interested top take a look into report, contact me and I?ll send a screenshot with all the numbers. However, the phone billing is a total mystery. There is absolutely no information about amounts per minute or country, neither you can find any evidence about that kind of purchase or customers accessing that way. So, you tell me is this a robbery or what? After all, there were lots of complains from members, being unable to obtain the access to members area, for countless reasons. I had manually added them to ?htpasswd? file. Also, some people who already signed up now are having difficulties to cancel the membership. To be honest, even I don?t know where a membership could be canceled. I looked everywhere on their website and join page, but couldn?t find any link, form or sign where to cancel. No info even in the Client Administration (control panel). If anyone of you finds out, please let me know, I will be grateful. Simply have to help my customers to get rid of these thieves. I used them about 2 years ago for the wallpaper thing. At that time I did test it on my own phone. Since a couple of months I receive sms messages about that my downloadable content is ready and about another service which cost me 3 pounds per week if I don't cancel. It's 100% sure that this is all cooming from TxtNation. I never gave them permission to abuse my phone number. And I'm sure they do the same shit too all my visitors whom have used their service in the past. The most "funny" thing is that they never paid my last money.
Since I got a lot of sms from they yesterday I have made a phone call that they have to fix their shit. Which means get me from that fucking list and pay me my affiliate money. I'm 100% sure that their business practices are against all telecom laws. This is one of the worst companies I have done "business" with. If they don't solve their shit very soon I will look for further steps. |

They are cheating cunts and I for one would like to personally punch the bitches who work there right in the fucking nose. Pretty much the same story, we signed up paid, were lied to about the reliability of recurring billing. Eventually got paid out about 3 months late never used them again. Wankers and liars fullstop.

I am still owed money by these wankers as well. I also know quite a few other people in the same situation! They ignore emails, the people you need to speak to continually avoid phone calls, the funny thing is you can phone back 5 mins later and get a completely different excuse... the retards that answer the phones should at least try and get their stories straight!
While I used txtNation the service was very dodgy at best, their system was constantly crashing or returning MySQL errors or the server was down completely! In summary... SHIT SERVICE, SHIT CUSTOMER SERVICE, SHIT COMPANY, DONT PAY, STAY WELL CLEAR!!! |
Same story here guys - we were scammed by txtnation, they ignore all communications, they sell services that either do not work or do not exist. we have complained to trading standards in the UK and apparently txtnation are not even registered with the authorities to provide most of their services in the UK/EU such as card payments. I suggest you do the same as we did and complain to trading standards in the UK.
When it comes down to it, they are just a rogue company, a scam operation with no idea of how to run a business and no intent on keeping their promises. They need to be shut down for wrongful trading and the management prosecuted, they are only a small company with one small office in the UK from what i can tell, despite their claims of worldwide offices, they are just con artists at the end of the day. good luck to you all on getting your money back, don't give up on it! |

There business plan is very simple- Show some fancy stuff get the client in by giving the biggest bullshit ( This is done bye a professional bullshitter- Michael Whelan the only thing he does know to do is to bullshit to clients) then take their money and not pay them. This doggy company is run by two 26, 27 year old guys called Michael Whelan and Jon Roswell who spend clients money on fancy cars and women... Tell your friends about these two scammers and don't get caught. If you know any one who is dealing with them tell them they are in deep shit. I'm back after hundreds of new tries. Did absolutely everything to get THEM in order and failed again. Just removed all their scripts and now will pray to get paid. They owe me 350 GBP for the short period of time I used them and obviously, it will never happened.
To nuanceuk: I reported them to lots of places in UK and worldwide. They seem to be not registered anywhere, so it?s a dead end. If anyone has any idea about reporting them, please share. anyone knows a reliable company providing such services ? Ohmobile and xobile never responded to my emails so probably they work with big players only. Waat.com doesn't work on my browser, smsbiller.com has "temporarily closed registrations". There so much hype on future of mobile porn but there is no company that actually provides such services.

They are a part of Atlas Telecom. And we have been using them on our sites for over a year and they seem reliable and payout when requested. (they charge $35 per wire transfers so we wait until we have a large payout then request it) As is the way with SMS payments the telecoms companies take a large slice of your revenue. You will probably only get about $1 for every $2 you charge your members. |
