Worst - May end up being Bush, but I'll reserve that judgement until enough time has passed to have history reflect what his administration has done. My opinion for the worst president in history is Ulysses S. Grant

Best - Theodore Roosevelt

It takes that long to forget the actual facts of their term in office and let the myth start growing.

Seriously.. there are a few folks mentioning Reagan - and he has got plenty going for him. (Was he "popular" during his term??) Wonder how many remember the "other side" to his Presidency??

Smell the best is probably going to come from under 40 or that list and little doubts the worst is in the over 40 range.

Greatest is Harry Truman for having the courage to drop the bomb and end World War II.

Worst is Bill Clinton for abusing his power for his own purposes.

I was wondering if anyone was going to mention Carter. He might have as much to do with the failure of the demcratic party as Clinton's cock in a fat intern.

Its been 30 years since the democrats have been able to join an intelligent discussion about economics. Carter (along with Reagan) proved the democrats economic theories invalid. It is hard to kill an entire party, but he did it.

Smell a lot of political voting :winkwink:

Would be nice to know who actually did the best/worst job for the US - as opposed to political bullshit.

latinasojourn 08-13-2006 12:02 PM

not sure the worst (yet).

but the man who actually did the most for the entire world was truman.

and few realize it.

he had to courage to do the unthinkable that put an immediate end to what could have been massive human suffering on a global scale.

Mr. Soul 08-13-2006 12:03 PM

Best - FDR
Worst - George W. Bush

How can anyone possibly argue that Bush Jr. has not been the worst in history? He's the only president who has had every single one of his policies end up as a miserable failure, without a single success. Not the mention the fact that he seems to be doing his best to do irreparable hard to our economy, that we'll never be able to recover from. The country's prosperity will never be the same because of one administration.

No SHIT!!! Balanced budgets and Surpluses, that's just FUCKING Un-American

[/SARCASM]

And the saddest part of this post was having to add the [SARCASM] tags, otherwise the republicans wouldn't understand the joke. Hell, they probably still won't get the truth and reason behind it even with explanations. Next time I'll have to include implicit stick figure drawings as well. Oh crap.
