I finaly found a way to get rich!

Just got this in the mail LOL
----------------------------------------------------------------
Greetings!

I saw your email on a website I visited yesterday, and thought
you might be interested in this.

A few months back I joined a program and then...promptly forgot
about it. You may have done this yourself sometime...you intend
to work the program but then get caught in your day-to-day
activities and it's soon forgotten.

The program was free to join so maybe I just didn't take it very
seriously.

Anyway, near the end of May I received a letter from my sponsor
(Scott Johnson) informing me that I had more than 2000 PAID
members in my downline!

As you can imagine, I was very skeptical. After all, how could I
have more than 2000 paid members under me in a program that I had
never promoted?

I took the time to check out the site...then wrote to Scott asking
for confirmation that these were paid members and not just free
sign-ups...like me :)

Well, it was true...I had 2365 paid members in my downline. This
in a program that I had never worked!

All I had to do was upgrade to a paid membership before the end
of the month and I would have my position locked in and a
downline of 2365 people.

You can bet I wasted no time in getting my membership upgraded!

I can tell you, if I had known what was happening with this
program, I would have become an active paid member months ago!

With this program, you will get a HUGE downline of PAID MEMBERS.
My sponsor's check, which is a minimum of $5,000, arrives every
month...on time.

How would you like to lock your position in FREE while you check
out this opportunity and watch your downline grow?

To grab a FREE ID#, simply reply to: [email protected]
and write this phrase:
"Email me details about the club's business and consumer opportunities"
Be sure to include your:
1. First name
2. Last name
3. Email address (if different from above)

We will confirm your position and send you a special report
as soon as possible, and also Your Free Member Number.

I'll get you entered and let you know how you can
keep track of your growing downline.

That's all there's to it.

I'll then send you info, and you can make up your own mind.

Sincerely,

Kent Scrogam

P.S. After having several negative experiences with network
marketing companies I had pretty much given up on them.
This company is different--it offers value, integrity, and a
REAL opportunity to have your own home-based business...
and finally make real money on the internet.

Don't pass this up..you can sign up and test-drive the
program for FREE. All you need to do is get your free
membership.

I got that same one the other day. I get so much of this fucking garbage. I get shit every fucking day about mortgages. I don't even own a home. I don't plan on owning one soon. And if I did, I sure wouldn't get a fucking mortgage from a hotmail spam.

UnseenWorld 06-15-2002 12:05 AM

Well, geez, I've been wasting my time until I read about this great new network marketing plan. I think I'll tell everyone I know to quit their jobs and become PAID MEMBERS so they can watch their downline grow!

I joined last week and am now sitting on a beach in the Seychelles and just posting this because I thought you should all get in on it and take some of my business away from me:BangBang: :BangBang:

She starts saying , she did not know the company and it was all a surprise, then finishes as she is running it. The email address is @yahoo

What do they really think we are that stupid?
Or are they so stupid to think we will fall for it.

Mortgages, I get them and right wing political crap. Give me a break I'm a pornographer living in Czech, where do they get their lists from?

mike503 06-15-2002 12:52 AM

that's the whole point of it all. some people on this board think spam is fine and dandy if it's "targetted"

bullshit. it's all bullshit. there is no targetting for unsolicited shit.

furthermore, the definition of "targetted" itself is quite subjective. people don't care about quality lists imho, they just want massive numbers of valid email addresses anymore.. at least that's how i see it. i get breast enlargment emails to mike@ my domains. what kind of targetting is that? never in any profile ever has my email been tied to a "female" account or anything.

once again. it's bullshit.

i hope all spammers die. :BangBang: :BangBang:

Hey bro, dont confuse this with targeted mail..

This is a scam, those are real products (most of the time)..

There is also a difference between mailings and spam.

define "targeted mail"

also define the difference between "mailings" and "spam"

thanks.

Target mail is when a person opts into a program or list for a certain niche or type of product.

Mailings are mailings to subscribers of an opt in mailing list.

Spam is un-solicited mailings to person not opted into a list. Probably originally spidered from WebPages and sold into lists.

exactly. the majority of us do not get A) or B) on your list. hardly anyone subscribes to the penis pill mailing list, or the mortgage offer mailing list.

i am a member of about four mailing lists in the whole entire internet. i currently receive spam for about 25-30 different topics, all throughout the day. none of that was through my mailing lists either. so mine is not A) or B), just like the majority of everyone else's. it's C) and it's bullshit.

I seem to have not found your point in all that..

I gave you the definitions, and you agree with them, then go back to what you originally said. There is a difference.

why can I never get e-mail that will make me rich :(

well i don't see one. if i haven't asked to be emailed about it ("b" or "c" above) then it's unsolicited, and i call that spam. if i've asked to be mailed about that specific product/offer/whatever, then i expect updates on that. not someone's idea of "oh this is a good match..."

sounds like you consider "b" or "mailings" to be fine, so if i subscribe to a webmaster list from some place and they resell it to a company who is selling webmaster products... that's ok? because it's a "mailing" and not just a random spam? btw, i'm going on the assumption your first post about "targeted mail" is regarding "mailings" (b) or "opt-in lists" (a)

i have never said that opt-ins are an issue. people subscribed for a reason... and that is not spam. emailing the people from reselling their addies off opt-in lists or random bullshit emails to people is spam.

i can forward all of mine to you. i get about 10-15 a day. sometimes more. even though i've never asked, showed interest, or filled out ANY mailing lists (opt-ins or anything) to those email addresses they are spamming to.
