I need a text editor that can do this:

say i have a text file with 40,000 lines. is there a text editor that can easily highlight say 12,000 lines in that file(so that i can cut,copy,paste,etc), instead of me manually highliting them?

Don't know of any.. But with EditPlus you could write a key macro to find each line in sequence, select it and copy it etc.
