Shitty sales for anyone else this week?

I don't often start threads like this when i'm going through a sales slump, but this week has been fucking brutal with sales, and i'm wondering if anyone else is going through the same thing.

It seems every sponsor across the board this week has been terrible for me, which is odd. I usually just suffer through bad periods and wait for good because I know they come shortly after, but I changed up a few of my pages earlier this week (around the middle of my slump) and sales haven't recovered for the weekend like they usually start to.

I'm close to going back to my 'old look' for my big sales pages, but I don't want to pull the trigger if it's not the problem. People are still clicking to sponsors, it's just the ratios that have dropped off big time.

Thanks!

Fucking horrible for me this week :( :(

sweetcuties 08-12-2006 08:49 AM

Sales are decent... next mth, everything gets back to normal. It's back to school and back to work for most people.

Juilan 08-12-2006 08:52 AM

Yeah last week was 5 times what this week was.

he-fox 08-12-2006 08:52 AM

the past week, awesome, this one slower...

vanillaice 08-12-2006 09:13 AM

Well it's a relief I suppose to hear others not doing so well either. I already knew of someone else who does very well normally also having a bad week, so maybe something is up with processors or something.

I'd love to believe it was a summer slowdown thing, but summer has been very good to me regarding sales so far, so i'm not really buying that theory any more. Just looks like extended slow period I suppose. I'll wait to revert my changes back, since I really like the new changes.

andrej_NDC 08-12-2006 09:16 AM

Sorry to say that, but sales are pretty good this week. :(

rocking sales

TextBill_ben 08-12-2006 03:16 PM

I can honestly say - it's been a 'record' week for us processing! even to the point I am sitting waiting to see the figures at 'close' of day.

We topped our all time processing record at 8.45pm - and have totally blown it away now...

you guys need to get on the european bandwagon and pickup some sales ;)

evilclown 08-12-2006 03:32 PM

Do students actually buy porn ? They have no income (or limited), limited credit card access and are extremely P2p network/internet savy (eg Have the most knowledge of where to get free passwords, free porn).

PAR 08-12-2006 03:39 PM

Sales have been great for us this month.
But I've been told by many people (affiliates) that sales this month over all have been down or slow for them. Thinking back the same thing happened last year this time.

I have to agree with TextBill_ben that the Euro market is picking up.
We just added several translations and payment options to our VOD site and saw a noticeable increase in conversion ratios.

bettersex 08-12-2006 03:41 PM

yea i also think its more of their parents...getting to work thing then students

Tom_PM 08-12-2006 04:41 PM

Yeah students buy. The CC companies tend to setup shop right on campus to get new cardholders with no good sense of money management lol. Here's hoping for a stronger finish!

I've always thought this way as well...
