Setting pricing points in NATS. check out my cool video..
www.trafficgigolos.com/brian/i.love.nats.wmv
most tedious/redundant thing i've ever done. i had to do this for 40+ sites. and when the pricing points are added they're automatically live in all your programs, so you have to quickly change all the shit so you dont have them listed on each of your join pages for your different programs. took me about 14 hours of nonstop clicking like that to set everything up while fuzebox added the pricing points into the sites admin. just about when crazy. luckily you start to memorize the points and get faster. all i can say is NATS you need a better way of handling this. i mean atleast make the browser position snap back to the last button i clicked or allow me to select all the changes and then apply them rather than one at a time. love the software by the way. if you wan't the video removed just let me know. i just wanted to show everyone how difficult it is to set pricing points when you have a lot of programs. i can give you feedback on about a million redundant features that end up taking a lot of time that could use fixes. |
I think you have had to have done this before to truly appreciate the video :)

Its cool, I think its kinda cute :)
Did you contact any of our techs to see if there was a way of doing it in bulk before spending the time? (Not trying to be an ass, just unsure, and there may very well be a way). I also agree that it doesn't exactly make sense to have new price points active for sites immediately. I'll speak to our guys about it on monday. |
Also, I know there can be some redudant thing in there. They come from having so much flexibility as NATS is the only affilaite software that I've seen which allows you to get as complex as you guys have gotten with your program config. However, I'm always open for feedback on making client's lives easier :)

smart coder would have after 5 clicks derived a mysql query or 3 to do all the dirty work for him :)

I sent in a rather absurd support ticket after i had been doing that for about 5 hours straight. fred answered them today. i was under a lot of stress, so don't take them too seriously.
anyway. i could fly through those much quicker if you make the browser window snap back to the last point you changed. would cut time down a lot. and of course not making new pricing points live would help too. :) |
This thread is in NOW WAY knocking NATS. I'll openly admit that if we would have choosen a different affiliate software, we would not even be close to where we are at right now.
The options, and flexibility that nats has given us has been a major key to our success. - Justin |
