No cross sales, less or no popups and high payouts...

Isnt't it funny. When the new CB rule came, everyone was afraid 35USD payouts were not possible anymore... Windows XP popup blocker, everyone was again scared...

And today adult.com announces 40USD per sale, without consoles....

Good to see the biz is going from (many) crap sites--->popups tons of cross sales, to the more quality sites, and still high payouts....

Andre

(not saying adult.com had crap sites, but sites in general)

Nah, they are more informative than most.

It's a different business model, and I have never seen the inside or a recent tour for an Adult.com site (and the examples below has nothing to do with their program whatsoever), but there are many ways programs monetize traffic, both their own and affiliate generated ...

exits
popups
cross sales
upsales
traffic leaks
malware
selling of information

It is possible (and beneficial) for any program with high member retention to pay persign up. It would be in the programs best interest to offer it. Some of the above mentioned items (like inter program upsales, cross sales and popups) can possibly be credited to affilaites as well anyways.

i thought adultelite was elite when they had $35 console free. Realitycash has just upped the ante

More and more programs realise its not profitable to hijack the browser, at least not when clear that the intrusive pop-ups are from the specific site.

You might also raise payouts to buy marketshare...

Quality always wins in the end.. Why the hell would anyone rebill at a paysite that had nothing but up sales and shitty content. It's about time some of these companies figured that out.

That's right. I'm monitoring several serfers boards and see their opinion. They share the information about good and bad sites. And it's not funny that some posts are about sites of very famous and giving a lot of money to webmasters sites. I hope, that quality of interrraction with serfers and site support will really win too.

justsexxx, good thread:thumbsup

Another thing, is as a webmaster I typically stay away from the big affiliate programs that have 20 or 30 (meaning a crap load of shitty sites IMO) sites in their portfolio. The exception is Nasty Dollars and TCG but I really don't promote either heavily.

The reason for staying away from these big programs is because typically their sites are shit. I've found I tend to do much better with smaller programs that only have a handful of sites.

Agreed - although i made my first ever sale with TCG. The big problem with bigger programmes is that they get complacent because of their size, and sit back and forget about updating, as they figure that they have enough affiliates bringing in revenue to not be arsed about updating (i.e. BlacksOnBlondes).

That, and the bigger the program, the more promoted the sites are, the more saturated the content, the lesser a chance of a sale because the surfer has probably already seen it.
