I take the train anyday as long as it isn't a far trip.. Fuck Indiana to LA tho.. that seems like it would take a LONG time!

The ONLY way to travel on them though is in a private room.

Compared to Greyhound it's like first class. Well I've only done NYC to DC by train in the US and that was fine.

Train is my favorite mode of travel if speed isn't a priority. You can walk around, go eat, sleep, enjoy the scenery etc. :thumbsup

Amtrak = Redneck cruise liners.

I prefer to drive myself - this baby really hauls ass (note the wheelie coasters), and you can hear me coming (pun) from a block away...

Actually if you have a FL concealed carry license, you might make it all the way there legal.

You can get a FL license in about 30 states I think. Had a friend take the course and test and do just that. Thinkin about it. It's only $100 for the course + ammo for the live practice day.

Remember I'm on your shit list, so if I 'm on that train....... We'll get blastered at the bar or share that tranny....

I'm square on that. I've had a carry permit since 2 days after I turned 18.

I haven't been on a US train since taking a school field trip as a kid. How do they compare to the European rails?

I like train rides and do take advantage of it sometimes when I'm in Europe:thumbsup

I guess it all depends on your definition of an adventure. I recall my wife and kids coming back from TX and halfway home they had to put the train in reverse and go all the way back to San Antonio.

I ended up putting them on a plane so they could get home.
