ADULTLEGAL.COM are really pissing me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So we bought content off them some years back and we have a contract with AdultLegal saying we can use the dvds we purchased... Now we have a company saying we are using it illegally but we can not get in touch with ADULTLEGAL at all by using phone numbers or email!!
Anyone have a contact? Anyone experienced this with AdultLegal before? |
thats certainly not a first. not a very good company to do business with.
|
what studio were the dvds from ?

Adultlegal sucks...I used to buy some DVDs before, but they still didn't reply to my emails from january-february. They are probably closing shop.

1 800 969 6237 from the states
|
really?
I always get very good service when ordering dvd's and if not in stock, there is always someone who icq's or emails me to say so |
I thought they closed shop a while ago. I know Myron hasn't been then for atleast a year.
|
Can someone give me an ICQ???
|
or they suing you or threaning to sue you if you don't take it down?
|
One moment.. You are not being clear here. And this is going to become confusing.
YOU CAN ONLY USE THE CONTENT YOUR PURCHASED ON THE DOMAIN NAMES YOU INCLUDED IN YOUR SIGNED CONTRACT. There is no way on earth someone can tell you you are using illegal content, if at the time you purchased that DVD, you included the domain name on it. No way. No matter if they are taking it down off the system, if art the moment you purchased the content, the DVD was in the system, there is no way on earth they could tell you that. NO WAY. Plain and simple. :) |
On a side note, I have seen some webmaster using content purchased on AdultLegal, but when you browse their system to see if the content is there, you can't find that DVD.
So, I really wonder how do these webmasters bought that content? If the content is not in their DVD system. Of course is a thumbs down for the webmaster doing this, not AdultLegal. |

They dont have all their titles listed.... You'll have to ask them for a list... |
That sucks, Darren!
This is one of the reasons I set up my company the way I did in the first place. A number of studios were very unhappy with their content being licensed by third parties and NOT knowing who had it and where. Plus they felt that their product was being whored out and there was little to no accountability or control on their part. Any DVD content purchased through TheContentStore.com is licensed DIRECTLY from the studios that produce said content. The license is NOT with me personally or my company. TheContentStore.com was created as a hybrid business model. I handle sales, marketing, advertising, customer service and act as an escrow company. Webmasters can purchase directly from the site and once payment is made and the license agreements have been signed and faxed to the studios - then, only then is the content shipped and the studio receives payment. This way the studios know "what's what" and webmasters can rest assured that they are purchasing legal content FROM the producers AND everyone is happy including ME! |
Basically the DVD was in their store and we purchased it off them with contract etc etc... now the company which obviously produced that DVD is hassling us... so anyone got a ADULTLEGAL ICQ?
|
I had the same thing about a year back. I was sent a DMCA notice by the producers.
I made a post about it here, after waiting for response from them. After the post here they did fix it, swapping the content over. Not sure what you bought off them, but what I bought was some cumshot content. It was all over tours, promo material, free sites, banners etc etc. Like I say they did replace the content for me after posting here. So should be OK |

It just makes sense. There are checks and balances so everything is above board. Hey look, of course I want to sell as much content as I possibly can - which is why I launched ContentBlowout.com years ago! However, there?s inate value in featuring content that can't be licensed anywhere else. Which is why I generally charge more for DVD licenses. Also, there's perceived value in maintaining that premium pricing. For one, less people are willing to open their wallets, which keeps the content unsaturated and fresh in the marketplace. :2 cents: |
one big problem was avs's and aen's. The liscensee would say you can use it on one or two domains. However, they were naive to the net and did not specify the use of subdomains.
so you could have 600 sites using throat gaggers 8 all on blahblah.deluxepass.com. Thats why redlight and zero t pulled their liscenses. When i was part of deluxe pass, there was always something adult legal was doing wrong. it's kind of common knowledge. Deluxe pass had to pull tons of content, all of which they purchased legally. duke |
Never heard of them before....

Good luck and let us know. I buy content very often from 4 dif. content resellers, but never tried AdultLegal. Can you tell us what studio is asking you to remove the content? It would be very usefull for all here. |
