Is the neighbourhood around Shearbourne St In Toronto good/bad?
Im looking to move and think I may have an ok deal for an apartment on Shearbourne st.. Ive never been around there before though so if anyone that knows Toronto better than I do can tell me if its a good/bad neighbourhood?

Sherbourne is a rough area...look for better places.

Definetly not the nicest area, but compared to American ghettos, it's Beverly Hills.
:) |
doh, thats why I can get an apt there for so little... and I'd prefer not to live in any ghetto at all.. american or canadien :upsidedow

If you want/need to be downtown, I'd suggest the Bloor/Yonge and Annex area - nice area, close to everything and reasonable prices (the U of T is near by).
If you don't mind 7-days-a-week nightlife, look at Little Italy (College St., west of Bathurst). Great restaurants, always something going on and trendy. |

Personally I think when I move back I'll end up in the beaches or in one of the west end places. You should also consider that the most expensive place you can consider in Toronto will cost you 50% in Montreal. I shit you not. I had a one-bedroom in Toronto for $1500 that now costs me $830 with a better view in Montreal. It's all up to you ... what are you looking for in a metropolis? |
I miss toronto!
