WORLD TRADE CENTER movie.

Who' going to see it? I saw the longer version of the commercial and cried so I won't be seeing it.

:(

TurboAngel 08-09-2006 09:22 AM

So no rushing off to see it huh?

:)

Chris 08-09-2006 09:22 AM

ill buy the dvd.

Splum 08-09-2006 09:23 AM

I will be seeing it this weekend TA.

tree 08-09-2006 09:23 AM

I personally think its a bit too soon for that movie.

maybe ill torrent it

butterflybucks 08-09-2006 09:28 AM

I'm interested to see it's POV

elitegirls 08-09-2006 10:14 AM

this kinda fake movie?

watch loose change 2, the truth is sad enough.

gooddomains 08-09-2006 10:15 AM

I want to see it, but then I am pretty much seeing all movies

Tdog 08-09-2006 10:15 AM

I will wait until the Double pack of flight 93 and WTC

Furious_Male 08-09-2006 10:16 AM

I will wait until it is on pay per view.

PurrrsianPussyKat 08-09-2006 10:31 AM

No interest.

Magix 08-09-2006 10:36 AM

i will be going :) but i don't know when :)

Elli 08-09-2006 10:44 AM

I'd rather watch a documentary still.

Yanks_Todd 08-09-2006 10:46 AM

although it was bound to happen it's too soon for that movie. Not because of the emotional aspect, more simply because anybody who would go see the movie, saw the event live. Pearl Harbor was a cool movie to watch because I didn't have a front row seat. And Nick Cage, yikes, that dude has one character. He blows

JUSTB 08-09-2006 10:47 AM

I might possibly watch it on dvd but I'm not into having breakdowns in movie theatres.

testpie 08-09-2006 10:47 AM

I'm surprised nobody over there is kicking up a fuss about a movie that is exploiting the event to make Hollywood money. By that same token of logic, i should be able to ethically kill a man, just as long as i make a Hollywood film about it and cash in on his death.

Sarah_Jayne 08-09-2006 11:32 AM

I don't want to see it just because I tend not to like Oliver Stone films. However, they have every right to make the film. People were making WW2 films while the war was still happening.

Cesay 08-09-2006 11:34 AM

I don't want to see it because the trailers make it look like a made-for-TV movie. The subject isn't touchy for me, it just looks like a bad movie made by an opportunist.

StuartD 08-09-2006 11:37 AM

I wonder how it ends.

CyberBachelor 08-09-2006 11:40 AM

I have NO interest in reliving the events right now.

I'm not disputing anybody's right to make the film, i'm disputing the use of the incident to generate money. If they are going to donate a lion's share of the profits to the survivors, or a charity in the survivors names, then fair enough; but if (as i suspect) they are simply going to retain all the profits, then i see that as exploitation.

Sarah_Jayne 08-09-2006 11:48 AM

Has everyone that has made a film about the holocaust donated a share of their profits? I do understand what you are saying and I also understand that is still feels so raw to a lot of us.

OTerror 08-09-2006 11:51 AM

Why do they keep making movies on 9/11 it's way to soon..to many people are hurt by it..fuck hollywood

elitegirls 08-09-2006 12:01 PM

hurt by what?

seeing their government killing innocennt people in ny on that day? seeing americans killing iraqis?

madawgz 08-09-2006 12:04 PM

ill rent it when it comes out

TurboAngel 08-09-2006 03:40 PM

I don't know if I'll ever be ready to see it.

Tragedy sells, simple as that. Titanic is the best example of that; a story 'based' on a true event where many people lost their lives, a movie that went on to gross the most money of any movie worldwide (not adjusted for inflation). Human beings, as sick and twisted as they are, love tragedy and support it constantly by watching stupid soap operas, going to see boring movies, etc. It's our nature to want tragedy, we NEED to feel depressed. And that my friends is why cheesecake isn?t cake. :thumbsup

LittleSassy 08-09-2006 05:24 PM

i dont think i'll watch it on the big screen....might just wait for the DVD

nico-t 08-09-2006 05:24 PM

its a drama movie based on a real story, dont expect it to be critical or something.... not a movie id rush to see, my first impression is that it would prolly suck donkey balls.

UniversalPass Pete 08-09-2006 05:26 PM

We all saw the drama unfold in real life! What else is the movie going to show us?

E$_manager 08-09-2006 05:53 PM

You cryed?
No. I will not watch it.

Persignup Dustin 08-09-2006 05:53 PM

ill go see it eventually

OG LennyT 08-09-2006 05:56 PM

whatever.

Only reason I might get it on Netflix down the road is because Ollie Stone directed it

Mr. Romance 08-09-2006 06:05 PM

My thoughts, the only reason this movie and dirty war are coming out this soon is simple, fear. Fear = justification for the war on terror?.this is bigger than Hollywood

Mr. Romance

reynold 08-09-2006 07:22 PM

I don't have plans on watching that movie. It will only bring back those tragic memories.

tiger 08-09-2006 08:36 PM

I'm sure it's shit but I will watch it on DVD.

sweetgirl2006 08-09-2006 09:34 PM

i will see it when i want too, if not i'll just rent it.

Yea I cried and I turn my head every time the commercial comes on, I was driving into NY when it happened and I had to turn around and head back to NJ.

:(

Vitasoy 08-11-2006 06:52 PM

Can't see myself seeing it, any time soon.

aico 08-11-2006 07:20 PM

No interest in seeing the movie, I watched the news while it was happening.

teg0 08-11-2006 07:38 PM

Not interested in seeing it. Too early for people to capitalize on the tragedy. Wait a couple more years.

Donny 08-11-2006 07:59 PM

It was a great movie. And I read an interview with certain true life people who were depicted in the film and they thanked Oliver Stone for getting it so close to real. Also, seeing pics of the two main characters, I was amazed at how similar they looked to the actors who played them.

It was a great film and, although sad in many ways, made me leave with a positive feeling.

Fuck you you assclown. The only way you'd get me to read a book is if you got a hot hooker to tie me down and torture me with a hour long grueling session of something by Stephen King, god DAMN I hate that guy. "Oh look at me I got hit by a van, I almost died, please read more of my books" Oh BOO FUCKING HOO. I'm supposed to feel sorry for the guy because he gets hit by a god damn moving vehicle? Big deal, he deserved to die because of his sins against humanity by creating all those filth-ridden books. ALL books, from the seemingly 'innocent' Cat in the Hat to the absolutely devastating The Satanic Verses by that fucktard Salman Rushdie must be destroyed with a burning passion? god damn I need to go purge a library right now I?m so angry
