Does anyone know this riddle?

I'm pretty sure someone has posted this before.. but I forgot what the answer was... can anyone help?

There are three words in the English language that end in "gry".
ONE is angry and the other is hungry. EveryONE knows what the
third ONE means and what it stands for. EveryONE uses them
everyday, and if you listened very carefully, I've given you the
third word.

What is it?
_______gry?

mastamindz 06-13-2002 05:47 PM

The answer is "Language"

The word ENDS in "gry" implying that there has to be additional letters before "gry" Based on the link I posted earlier, there are only 2 native English words that fit this description [actually there were 3 but "anhungry" has not been used since Shakespearean times] The rest of the words were imported into the English language.

Google is awesome.

aggry, a glass bead found buried in the earth in Ghana.

puggry, a light scarf wound around a hat or helmet to protect the head from the sun, and

meagry, of meager appearance.

What is blue and stands on a paddock?

A cow in a track-suite!
