Hey Alexa.com Go FUCK Yourself

I'm sure a lot of you will be just as happy as I was to just find out that my whois contact info is listed on the traffic stats pages for all my fucking domains.

Even domains that have had privacy settings set in place for over a year, Alexa has cached whois contact info and is showing. I just did a quick check and gofuckyourself.com to is listed.. A bunch of TGP's and free sites were listed with full contact info including phone numbers. google.com 's info if yea wanna call them.

Fuck you Alexa.. I never once opted in to have my contact info shown on your page. So now I have to go check 100 pluss pages to see if my damn contact info is listed on Alexa.com and then manually have it removed.

What gets me is almost all of my domains are set to privite at my registars yet everyone I've check so far has at the very least my contact e-mail listed and many others have full details listed.

You'd think the various services that cache whois info would be in some violation with ICANN.

Blame your registar. They cant post data not given to them, so do a backtrack and find out where they came from.

I agree your registrar is up to something...doesn't sound to cool

I've checked domains from 4 diffrent registers and all had my info.. directnic.com showed the least on Alexa.com which was my company name and e-mail address.. registryfly.com, godaddy.com and namecheap.com all show full contact info including phone numbers.

So it's not just any registar it seems to be all of the popular ones.

you have to either use a e-mail on each domain to manualy check a link to prove it's your domain.. or you have to upload a file to every damn domain.

there's a way to block alexa and similar sites from spidering your site.
it's somehow set up in robots.txt

dont remember the details.

Whois info is not listed on the site, Einstein.

same thing here... paid extra for private domain and Alexa had it somehow :(

Took me a few manual trys to get the personal info off too.

registerfly is the lowest - 90% of my spam originates from domains i stupidly registered with them.

i get hardly any from my directnic domains
