$500 Logo Design contest.
 

I want a logo for sleazydream and I suck at design. There are a LOT of creative people here so I figgure the best way to get a good design is to offer up some cash on a contest.

I'd like a graphic logo for sleazydream to replace the text on the top of my main page.

Rules: (not a complete list)

1) There needs to be room on the left and right side of the graphic for the sextracker button and the advertising button so whatever you come up with must occupy the same space as the current text. ABOUT 650X125 but doesn't have to be EXACTLY this.

2) The entire graphic must be under 14k. This is a rule CARVED in STONE.

3) jpg or gif only - animated ok but not necessary

4) The term SleazyDream must be incorporated into the logo. One word, not two. Capital letters on the "S" and "D" the rest are to be lower case.

5) entries are to be posted on this thread. A decision will be made on June 21 at noon central standard time by myself and the sleazydream team.

6) No limit on the amount of entries per person. Make as many designs as you like and post them all.

7) Designs are NOT to be anomyous - please post your name or busines name beside the design. I will show NO favortism to any particular designer - My team will only consider the graphic.

8) Exclusive origional (mailed - not faxed) signed copyright release on the image/graphic must be supplied to my corporation before payment is made.

9) If my team doesn't like any of the designs we reserve the right not to declare a winner. Please understand that we DESPRITLY want to declair a winner and have EVERY intention of buying what we feel is the best design for our purposes.

10) Winner will be paid by check, in US funds from from a Canadian bank account (US funds account) and the check will be mailed via regular mail to the winner.

11) there will only be ONE winner and only one check paid out to that winner .

12) any design not declaired a winner will not be used by sleazydream unless I decide to purchase it. No purchases will be made unless a winner is declaired.

13) plus any other stupid rules I can think of or change as the contest moves along.

then get a job. this logo will be viewed by about 400,000 unique people a day and will be an excellent showpiece for the winner.

$500 for an image a little larger than a banner is a LOT higher then the industry current rate for such an item. Me thinks you don't want to try cause your work SUCKS..... prove me wrong.

If I want pics in it.. do I grab them from public domain?

like all content on sleazydream, it has to be LEGAL and licenced. You can take any image on a gallery on the sleazydream.com domaign and use it though as I have legal rights to all the images on my galleries to use for this purpose.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, i see. Can you honestly say that any logo with live up to your standards? No offense, but i imagine every logo that gets posted will be a "is that really worth 500?" Oh well, at least you'll save a few bucks. :thumbsup

I kept the amateur character of his site....well I couldn't do otherwise since I'm not a graphics guru as you all know :)

imo the best so far.

Sleazy, design isn't solely based on the final outcome - there's a thought process to it. That logo isn't bad - he has clouds nicely incorporated with the words SleazyDream, and the text nicely incorporated as well. It might not look like a lot, but people would recognize SleazyDream with the red bubbly text with cloud.
