seo and urls, a question..

I have a question concering the seo with the urls of one of my sites that I am working on. The cms generates urls that look like this

http://www.domain.com/review/My+dick+is+massive

I am curious if the + sign would be better off replaced with a -

Am I just being to picky?

by the way I know I should have posted a hot pic in this thread to get some attention to it, but I figured a business related topic might do some good on this board.

In my opinion, yes, I would replace it. The + sign is used more in searches and session ids that the search engines don't want. In my opinion, it is much safer to use a -.

You're probably just being picky, but since I'm a negative person, I prefer - over + any day.

Use - over +

the google patent talks about - being more acceptable

no idea if im correct

but i was told that search engines, google mostly uses - as a space in the url, so if you have say... .com/something_here google reads it as .com/somethinghere and .com/something-here as .com/something here

so i guess if you want to read properly use neg over pos

You should have put HOT PIC in the title, too.

No, you are not being too picky.
