How will they afford cigarettes?!!
Employers in Europe are free to refuse smokers a job, confirming their status as the continent's last pariahs.

"If these people can ignore so many warnings and all that evidence then they haven't got the level of intelligence that I am looking for. Smoking is idiotic."
Right fucking on! :thumbsup |

I was under the impression smoking was extremely popular in Europe. Can any Europeans confirm or deny?

I mean christ, yes, we smoke, but idiotic drunk drivers kill more people than smokers do. Don't smoke here, don't smoke there blah blah blahh... Oh but feel free to drink and drive home.. thanks for coming.. haha.. |

But if you dont exagerate it you will not get cancer. If you dont exagerate drinking alcohol you will not get korsakoff and liver problems. If you dont exagerate eating fat food you will not get heart problems. So therefore the statement that smoking is idiotic is idiotic. |
Many companies in the USA have a non smoking policy. Cuts down benefits dramatically.
http://www.illinoissmokersrights.com...ep_my_job.html Weyco is just one of many. Smokers cost $$ when it comes to benefits, either pass the difference onto the workers or ban it all together. |

This is not couting how many actual smokers die per year. 16,694 alcohol-related fatalities im 2004 http://www.alcoholalert.com/drunk-dr...tatistics.html You = Wrong. |
For countries with a socialized form of healthcare, this makes even more sense. Everyone has to pay the burden for smokers.

they never have proof that its of second hand smoke, if you wanna die of second hand smoke you need to be chained to a chain smoker 24 hours a day for 10 years and maybe then its possible |

I think i am going to go and trust reliable sources like Wikipedia and the Journal of American Medical Association rather than some tool on GFY named Nico-tine:winkwink: |

Oh that's right, your source is your personal opinion. Here are some facts for you, with sources, you know, that thing you lack: Fact #1: Secondhand smoke, also know as environmental tobacco smoke, is a mixture of the smoke given off by the burning end of a cigarette, pipe or cigar and the smoke exhaled from the lungs of smokers. It is involuntarily inhaled by nonsmokers, lingers in the air hours after cigarettes have been extinguished and can cause or exacerbate a wide range of adverse health effects, including cancer, respiratory infections, and asthma. Source: California Environmental Protection Agency. Health Effects of Exposure to Environmental Tobacco Smoke. September 1997. Fact #2: Secondhand smoke has been classified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a known cause of cancer in humans (Group A carcinogen). Source: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Respiratory Health Effects of Passive Smoking: Lung Cancer and Other Disorders. December 1992. Fact #3: Secondhand smoke causes approximately 3,000 lung cancer deaths and 35,000-62,000 heart disease deaths in adult nonsmokers in the United States each year. Source: California Environmental Protection Agency. Health Effects of Exposure to Environmental Tobacco Smoke. September 1997. Fact #4: Secondhand smoke is especially harmful to young children. Secondhand smoke is responsible for between 150,000 and 300,000 lower respiratory tract infections in infants and children under 18 months of age, resulting in between 7,500 and 15,000 hospitalizations each year, and causes 1,900 to 2,700 sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) deaths in the United States annually.
