how long can the gravy train last? all i've got is about 20 domains that are close typos of existing huge traffic domains. and i use google's adsense for parked domains.

i make 4k- sometimes 5k a month.

I do the same with my local domains because adsense is the best way to monetize them.

You can't use adsense for parked domains unless you have a ton of domains and traffic. How did you get in with 20 domains?

i have some adult domains getting typeins. some have niche ccbill links on them.

i have found this to be more profitable as well. if you use a parked page, you have no influence over CTR's. if you have your own pages, you can optimize the text, layout etc and significantly improve both click throughs and payouts.

well it depends...

if you own f.e fastloans.com then you can either develop it , or make a fake adsense page or just park it

if developing is not the option, then i'd rather park it

you want to make money of the visitors, they shouldn't read your bullshit text about loans, they should just click somewhere

if there's no text at all, just a parked page like on http://fastloans.com/ then they have to click and the CTR is quite good in such cases

I have no experience with mainstream typein domains though

i have a lot of mainstream typein domains. i just had them all parked, only recently did i redirect a couple to a mainstream site with adsense ads (they were all related domains) and was surprised at the click throughs. price per click was better, clicks were more. i began to really read and study about adsense for a while and was able to improve things quite a bit more. like everything i think, its just a question of how much time you are willing to invest in it... i have a lot of time ;)

but yeah... almost everything depends on the domain, the traffic and the content (volume/quality/keywords/site structure etc).

i dont know everything about adwords and how google determines what ads they show on parked pages, max bid prices etc.. or if they distinguish between parked pages and their own search/content pages. i know i have seen some pretty expensive clicks on parked pages as well... but the difference for me is that i have no influence on anything.

BTW... if i owned fastloans.com, i would download the whole "loans.com" site or some similar site and throw it up with ads. :)

I believe you when it comes to the easy money you make from adsense, and I know you could be making a killing if you were actually investing time and developing the domains. Adsense + blogs = bling.
