Cuba could be a paradise if they manage to loose the communist dictatorship that ruined them. But that will be tough, because of the 50 years of brainwashing propaganda. Those poor people don't have any clue how is it to be free. I hope Fidel dies soon and somehow they manage to get rid of his camarila. Anyway, 20-30 years from now on, I don't see a bright and joyful future for the people there.

Never been there. Hope to go there soon.

2 stupid whorish posts vs 1 interesting post...was expect worse tho

I've been reading a lot more about it since Fidel has been hospitalized, and I must say it is not like I was taught in school, at all. I think it's a great country with great people, but somewhere in time they were denied of evolution, damn communism... I wish I could visit though :pimp

I think Cuban chicks are hot as hell

Cuba is a country, where people think they are living happily. My brother was there as a tourist on his own without a hotel reservation.
he sleppt one night at the house of a woman and when he woke up he saw a pig in the house near his bed. Food is not tasty and cheap, but you cab't get it because you do not have their money and people are afraid to take yours - it is forbiden. He starved. But he saw a lot of beautiful women. Those people are living alright. And they love Fidel and listen to him all day long. |
I'm thinking of buying it.
|
I don't understand why they don't kick ass in the Olympic swimming events. Oh, wait, yes I do.
But I love Mojitos!!! |
there are lots of people thinking of buying it.
Meanwhile american goverment is may be thinking of getting into it. |
Cuba is a great and amazing country with friendly people.
People living in Cuba don't know any better. Many US people simply judge based on CNN stories. My 2 cnts: seems most US citizens are brainwashed? You don't starve when you're in Cuba. Government allows small restaurants. Food in those restaurants is basic but good. You pay with Euro's (used to be dollars). Been there many times and it's simply a nice place to be as well as a nice place to buy great art. I feel sorry for all Americans that aren't allowed to go there ;-) -> |
Here's what a Cuban friend of mine living in Southern Florida had to say..........
"When Castro dies there's going to be an exodus from Cuba like you wouldn't believe. And many Cubans living in the States are going to be going back to reclaim their properties and homes in Cuba, cashing out here in the US and going back rich men/women to Cuba by liquifying those assets which they owe on (cars and things like that) and leaving huge debts. Both situations are going to have dire effects on the economy of Florida." |
It is full of culture and history. It needs to be a democracy obviously, and that would be the first step for them.

I'd like to travel there soon and check it out, for at least a month or two. It must be a great place from what I heard.

That's what I also thought when I had my first glance on the title. :) Anyway, I don't know much about Cuba but I don't think Fidel Castro's death will be the end of its communist-socialist government. His brother will obviously take his position if he dies. |

Cuba is a beautiful country and the people are awesome. Their government is the problem.
|
Cuba is IMHO the most beautiful country with great food and a wonderful culture. I would like to see it brought into the 21st century and stabilized. I would like to retire there.
|
A friend of mine has been there and said it was a fun vacation.
|
I've never been there but I dont have anything againt the people or the country. There is a Cuban restaurant here in Vegas that I go to often and the Cuban sammiches are great and the Cuban people working there are always nice.
