I agree. This kind of crime is so disgusting that I think many would be willing to look the other way for a little blue justice. Fuckin' punks.

I don't know about the death penalty, but the jails are brutal. The sherrif makes all the inmates eat meatloaf consisting of every portion of the meal, dessert included, and they have to wear pink boxers. Maybe thats not so brutal, but at least the guys will be getting some inmate love.
