For those of you spamming MySpace...
For those of you spamming MySpace using an xLabor.com Theme, you're in for a surprise. The amount of heat coming to me because of you select few is absurd and costing me time and money. Stop it, or you will be forced to.
This is not a joke. |
you reap what you sow chump
|
guess you better close your business
or didnt you know that you cant control what someone does with your product after you sell it to them? tell whoever is complaining to you to go eat a dick, its not your issue |

fuckin cockmunchers. i tell you, adult renegades ruin everything that they can try to squeeze for money. exploit it till you get owned or sued is the mentality that keeps this biz in trouble. no wonder the gov cracks the whip on us so much. |
everyone spams myspace with something nowadays
|
why would you have any responsibility at all? pretty stupid. What about all those other myspace theme sites being used for spam. you probally only have a few compared to those guys.
|
that sucks.. do you do phishing site layouts?
|
It's not that I'm responsible for what these people do with my themes, it's the heat that comes from people who get spammed with a blog that uses my theme, and automatically assume I am the owner due to the copyright links.
It works fine just explaining that to some of these guys. But recently it has become out of control with dozens of hate mails daily and yesterday I was contacted by a lawyer. It's a massive annoyance that costs me time and money every single day, and I have had enough of it. Spanno, I have never recieved a request for a phishing site layout, nor would I ever do one or anything of that nature. Spamming MySpace is one thing, it's your life, but when you disregard my NUMEROUS messages to stop or remove the copyright link, then it's just idiocy and disrespect. The fact that I have to deal with the consequences of these peoples' dubious acts is ridiculous, and it's going to stop one way or another. |

tip #1 remove the xlabor link.

I once bought ten of your templates and never used them
any myspace spammer want a deal ? |

So I deserve anything bad that comes to me just because I employ people you don't neccessarily like? But hey, if someone is treating you bad here then please, let me know. |
It's an annoyance to me as a myspace user and a guy in the adult industry ... cuz i walk the line with model recruitment and when i get added by a girl I have to waste my time reading through her about me section ... to see if there is a link in it... if there isn't ... I might know her from the industry, she might want to pose for me, or i may have met her at a bar
|
that's really crappy.. sucks when your name gets attached to something you don't approve of.

how much? |

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
not much that you can do about it
you sold the themes to the ppl ,unless there is some contract signed about usage and advertising , but outside of that there is pretty much fuck all you can do getting contacted by a lawyer , just tell em to get fucked , not much they can do about something you have no control over |
how were they spamming? i am wondering if its a bad idea to send out bulletins from high traffic accounts.
|
I wuv muh myspace traffic.

It sucks that you have stress you didn't bring on yourself. Maybe you can put some disclaimer on your site about you not being responsible for what clients do with the stuff you design. :)
|
lol or then again maybe not... :1orglaugh
|
Ok, this is all new to me. I don't do anything adult. I have used xLabor templates for all of my mainstream websites. They have done a good job and had all of my projects done in the same day. Excellent work!
Someone in this thread stated "you reap what you sew" and "your operation includes people that are not honest" or something similar to these statements. Is there something going on that I need to know? Right now, I plan to use them for all of my future projects. |

For some reason I want to become this guy's friend. I love mainstream and I love the sound of that 900k friend list of publishing power. Am I a whore? :) |

|

|
Sucks when some asshole spams my kids account with bulletins for porn sites with absolutely no warning what so ever on what they will see on the other side.
My kids accounts are 15, 15 and 17 year olds and it is right there in the profile... Perhaps they could do SOME filtering? |

A lot more goes on behind the scenes than me just selling themes to people and taking money. Anyone who has ordered from me, and had any sort of question about the software or had any problem at all, will tell you the level of support we delivered. The person who said that has not worked with me before to the best of my knowledge, and apparantly just seems to have it out for me for some reason. |

who are you? |

why do you give a fuck?
|
so just what sort of blunt force trauma to the cranium made you think we give a fuck?
|
Sending out random bulletins is irresponsible but I see not much wrong with setting up a niche specific group and keeping it to adults.
