My solution for the Middle East peace efforts - end the terror the "'Money" way
 

I've been glued to the TV watching everything as it developes in the Middle East.

Here's the solution.

Instead of wasting billions and billions of dollars helping these countries rebuild after their people started radical groups to destroy Israel and sthe US, we should put the money in the pockets of the people living in the buildings that house terrorists and their bombs by paying them and relocating them to another country if they turn in the bad guys and help us get their weapons. If these people report them to an international force that pays and relocates, then they should at least be rewarded with freedom and money to start a new life for them and their family.

Either turn in a bad guy or help us get a bomb, then they can get paid and relocated their entire family.

It seems the biggest problem is these people have lost lot's of hope in life since they are living in poverty and they are being ruled by killers. I'd be dumping leaflets with info on how to report this stuff to us and start a new life with freedom and money in their pockets.

That's just my take.

I don't think that would work... you just can't buy everybody. Everybody in north america (or almost anybody) has a price, but in theses countries, religious beleifs and brainwashing often take over money.

If a terror group can start their own channel on TV, then we can start one showing them what a new life would look like for their entire family.

I agree they don't see it that way, mainly because they watch their own slanted TV.

My idea wont work overnight, but when these people start seeing their life long buddies getting the fuck out of a war zone, they might get with the program soon after.

Tom Cruise can brainwash them.

I think the better way would have to put the billions of dollars we have spent on the war into solar power plants and into making alternative fuel vehicles cheaper.

Hell I forget how many billion we have sunk into Iraq, but I bet you if that money was spent dollar for dollar on other energy sources we would be almost self-sufficient by now.

And then those good guys will relocate to another country, and city, and all this shit will start again.

I don't think there is as much ignorance and hatred about the US etc in Lebanon etc as the media would have us believe. There are so many immigrants from Lebanon living all over the world that I'm sure most people there have a relative or friend or know someone who has left for greener pastures.

There are however a lot of people who will never leave "home" no matter how bad it is. I think these are some of the ones who are easily swayed to support change by any means neccesary.
